Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Sep 20, 2012Today i noticed that you also managed it to make world downloader mods useless :).
The huge amount of fake TNT which turns into real TNT after downloading causes some problems it you try to open the world in single-player. :)

Fast blockbreaking is normal since orebfuscator has to send block updates which could take a while to get to the player (In which case use EngineMode 1)

Posted Sep 18, 2012Just a thought I had. It seems the biggest complaint about this plugin is the amount of resources it takes up. Smaller servers cannot handle it. Again just a thought but, would it be better maybe to just resend the packets or obfuscate only the ores, rather than all the blocks below surface? Maybe even have a config for which blocks to obfuscate? So as to cut down on the resources used by this plugin?

Posted Sep 18, 2012Please, if you don't know how the plugin works, don't pretend you know.
The resource is used mostly to check which blocks to obfuscate. So it would be even more costy in resource to filter out "just the ores" and other filters. Also, all the features you listed are already implemented. (see config ObfuscateBlocks list).
The design is already optimized for all sort of sorting, and there's a lightweight version called Orebfuscator Lite that I built for servers with resource concerns.

Yes, it works, but it causes CPU lag and also players not seeing their chests and furnaces showing (possibly for a long time depending on CPU speed).
@AnimusTheHUN
Next version is going to be nether and end allowable.

"ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players." But you can customize this thing to hide ores. I tried it and really works but causes much CPU uses. So you can use Engine Mode 2 with AntiTexturePackAndFreecam. :)

Keep update radius below 5... normally 2 is good but more than that might lag players.
@CVRipley
The cache debug feature was in some of the early test versions when cache first came out... Also I'll be adding nether and end support later on in future versions.

Posted Sep 14, 2012I was wondering if you could add the end and nether support to OFC and add those worlds (default worldnames) to the exclusion list by default in the config. I ended up modifying your source code to make them work but havint to modify it every time would be a hassle. Since i run a normal world type in the end enviorment using my own generator i had to make it work. Perhaps other people might find it usefull too. Thanks. The Plugin still works great.
Oh another thing in the future you might want to consider adding a cache hit rate percentage in the status command. Then owners can see how often the cache is accurate vs failing the crc32 check and needing to be recalculated. Then owners can determine if the cache is helping or hindering performance based on their unique needs. It would also give you an idea if the cache actually working at all as a debug feature.
