NoCheatPlus

Detect and fight the exploitation of various flaws/bugs in Minecraft!
Introduction
NoCheatPlus attempts to prevent cheat clients from exploiting weaknesses of Minecraft or its protocol, making your server more safe. Checks cover a wide range of issues including flying and speeding, fighting hacks, fast block breaking and nukers, inventory hacks, chat spam and other types of malicious behaviour. NoCheatPlus puts emphasis on configurability and allows you to customize actions that are carried out when a player fails a check (e.g. silent cancelling, executing commands, just logging). Bypass permissions allow to control what check to apply for which players, all checks can be deactivated in the configuration, also having the option for world-specific configuration files. Many checks allow more detailed configuration to adjust sensitivity.
Certainly NoCheatPlus is not a magical bullet, it uses a lot of heuristics and even guessing, so you will encounter false positives here and there and also not catch every single violation. Example video of how NoCheatPlus blocks cheats (outdated plugin version).
NoCheatPlus was introduced by NeatMonster, building on the code base of NoCheat by Evenprime.

The following plugins might be useful to have a look at.
ProtocolLib
Allows NoCheatPlus to activate packet-level checks, covering a range of exploits that can't be monitored using ordinary means. Since roughly Minecraft 1.7.10, the fight.speed check can't work as expected anymore, due to changes in CraftBukkit. With ProtocolLib this can be repaired.
CompatNoCheatPlus (cncp)
Make plugins like mcMMO or MachinaCraft more compatbile with NoCheatPlus. Not all existing plugins are covered (yet), but you can leave a note or create an issue/ticket request for cncp. Phasing out: Citizens 2 should work with NCP out of the box, MagicSpells are working on compatibility too - rest will be integrated into NCP.
Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator fights all sorts of X-ray-hacks by altering the map information that is sent to the players, such that they have to mine blocks to actually reveal what is behind. Virtually a "must have". (Latest versions of Spigot contain features of Orebfuscator.)

In general we use the same limits for all players - however that is on server side. SInce players are moving, they might be out of reach on server side but in reach on client side, e.g. due to delay or just due to latency.
We will try to narrow that down further.
@lenis0012 I think NCP is assuming a lower speed on blocking, so there could be changes in the moving code - will have to reproduce somehow. Could also be related to interacting/running through something.

I am Fishy1020HD and a lot of people i pvp with on my server were saying they have terrible reach and I said NCP makes every ones reach the same [at least that is what i have heard] is that true because I want to make my server fun and enjoyable and with bad reach that isn't possible. So does NCP or NC or NCC do any of that?

Might be packet loss if it only happens to one of your players. I recommend to do a ping check from player to server and server to player.
Does it only happen to one of your players or all of them? If all are affected then something might be wrong with your server network but could also be caused by another plugin.
On that YouTube video that @lenis0012 I clearly see that this guy which has this issue seem to see himself as not in "blocking mode" but the server has himself in "blocking mode" state and from he perspective of the other 2 players you saw him blocking too. You even saw him creating sprint particles so his client is surly confused or hacking.
Another question: Did that player enter/leave some kind of portal @lenis0012 (MultiVerse, nether portal, end or even a tp to another world/dimension) ?
From our side we could add a workaround which would cancel blocking for a affected player if he throws a survivalfly violation.

Randomly getting stuck in block mode happens to me sometimes too, and I don't have BKLib. Basically you right click to block, then the server gets stuck thinking that you're still blocking (perhaps the client never sends the unblock packet, or the server never receives it due to lag), then when you go to spring, NoCheatPlus thinks you're using sprinthacks and spawns you back to the spot you were at.

Seems that he was stuck in block mode (it also looked like his client thought he wasn't blocking) and by default its not possible to sprint while blocking with a weapon. Do you have BKLib installed? I saw this problem once but I forgot how that other server owner solved it.

Version of CraftBukkit and NoCheatPlus? Are any special plugins installed that allow faster movement while blocking with a sword? Any changes in the config file of NoCheatPlus? Does it happen to all players on the server? Do you actually see the other players blocking properly from your side? Could not reproduce with NC+ 704 and CB 3095, feel free to open up a new ticket for your problem.

If you use Spigot then please update Spigot and NoCheatPlus to the latest versions. If the problem still happens then please create a ticket with your NC+ and Spigot version. Also use pastebin to post your complete error.

Yea of course. Each check prevents a different kind of abuse and some checks even work together to catch more.
Which check is exactly throwing false positives? Could we have your Server and NC+ versions? Have you been able to reproduce it by yourself? I recommend to open a new ticket and discuss it there with us since comments aren't something easy to archive and keep track on.

Posted Jun 19, 2014Does disabling a few checks in the config let players get away with hacks? I disable a few because I get spammed with warning messages when people are playing minigames and that's the only solution I know of that stops me getting them. Thanks

For most you just remove the cancel actions and the cmd:kick... actions from action list for a check in the configuration.
There are some exceptions with flags such as "canceldead", "falldamage", "dealdamage". Few things can only be done by bypass permissions, like placing blocks against air.

It's definitely not an hacked client, one of those players is my cousin, who barely knows how to play, let alone use hacks xD I'll see if the players remember what they were doing before the bug happened, but definitely look into the code.

I don't know what that is, could be a bug. I assume it's not extreme abuse, because to gather such levels you might need a long time and cause other checks like frequency to trigger, if it is possible at all.
I will check the code, if there is something like overflow/rounding-issues, or with a block being gone after starting to break it - do you know anything about what the players were doing (breaking the same blocks, randomly, many, just one ...)?

There were no errors in the console ( I made sure to check ) and there were also no messages regarding server is behind, time ran backwards, etc. etc.
I see this bug happen once every couple days, it's not something that happens ALL the time. What is weird is that it seemed to only affect junebug1937 and ykculc_x, I didn't have bypass permissions, it didn't affect me. They both were in the same area at the same time as this issue started happening for them, I was somewhere else in the world.
