NoCheatPlus

Detect and fight the exploitation of various flaws/bugs in Minecraft!
Introduction
NoCheatPlus attempts to prevent cheat clients from exploiting weaknesses of Minecraft or its protocol, making your server more safe. Checks cover a wide range of issues including flying and speeding, fighting hacks, fast block breaking and nukers, inventory hacks, chat spam and other types of malicious behaviour. For a more complete list have a look at the Features Page.
NoCheatPlus puts emphasis on configurability and allows you to customize actions that are carried out when a player fails a check (e.g. silent cancelling, executing commands, just logging). Bypass permissions allow to control what check to apply for which players, all checks can be deactivated in the configuration, also having the option for world-specific configuration files. Many checks allow more detailed configuration to adjust sensitivity.
Certainly NoCheatPlus is not a magical bullet, it uses a lot of heuristics and even guessing, so you will encounter false positives here and there and also not catch every single violation. Example video of how NoCheatPlus blocks cheats (outdated plugin version).
NoCheatPlus was introduced by NeatMonster, building on the code base of NoCheat by Evenprime.

The following plugins might be useful to have a look at.
ProtocolLib
Allows NoCheatPlus to activate packet-level checks, covering a range of exploits that can't be monitored using ordinary means. Since roughly Minecraft 1.7.10, the fight.speed check can't work as expected anymore, due to changes in CraftBukkit. With ProtocolLib this can be repaired.
CompatNoCheatPlus (cncp)
Make plugins like mcMMO or MachinaCraft more compatbile with NoCheatPlus. Not all existing plugins are covered (yet), but you can leave a note or create an issue/ticket request for cncp. Phasing out: Citizens 2 should work with NCP out of the box, MagicSpells are working on compatibility too - rest will be integrated into NCP.
Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator fights all sorts of X-ray-hacks by altering the map information that is sent to the players, such that they have to mine blocks to actually reveal what is behind. Virtually a "must have". (Latest versions of Spigot contain features of Orebfuscator.)

Posted Aug 10, 2012Since 1.3.1 hit we updated bukkit as well as multiple plugins that were behind. Since then, some (not all) admins are being knocked back to the ground via some plugin. Normally, when noCheatPlus does this, it tells us, but we get no message. I check server console and I see this.

Is this From NoCheatPlus? I don't think so, but I'm not 100% sure. If not, do you have any clue what is causing this?

Posted Aug 10, 2012Sorry for all these question but im new to this one, after having used the old NoCheat plugin :P
But today we had our first chatspammer using this plugin but he wasent kicked (Like i would want it to be)
I dont want it to ban players but be really sensitive to chatspam and kick them.
Ive tried changing the speed and repeat but i dont get it to run the kick command.(ive turned the weight way up)

I think it has been removed due to the authentication protocol issues having been resolved.
Probably i pays to make a ticket for a feature request (enahncement) though, so people can upvote it.
If it gets re-added, it would be configurable, but probably deactivated by default.

Thats does not seem to be the case with the versions i tested (NCP 3.7.0 dev version for 1.3.1), you mentioned AntiCheat ?

Posted Aug 10, 2012I had an issue where using the devbuild, basically players would not be able to get out of water and then AntiCheat would kick them for hacking. Problem solved when reverting back to the older build of Nocheatplus

hmm config for that seems a little confusing.. from my brief look at it that is.
Oh well hopefully something to fix it.. this bukkit fly messup affected

Ok thank you for testing it - it seems that the hovering problem persists.
Did using cncp 5.2.0 improve anything else concerning Zombes fly mod ?
One can actually use it to limit fly speed extra to NoCheatPlus, but that is not that much of a gain, probably.

If you are stationary for like 1-5sec you will be snapped to floor.. and the console still shows moving error. While speed flying.. didn't notice it or check console.. I don't think you got snapped to floor while speed flying before, and checking again.. no console error.. So the problem is just while stationary using a fly mod.

edit: Nope don't work, latest npc dev, latest cnpc dev.. and 2327 cb ... still get snapped to ground with cjb fly while stationary.

Try CB 2327 + CompatNoCheatPlus 5.2.0, it might allow client mods better. We will probably later integrate something direct into NoCheatPlus, but currently this is the fastest solution, probably (if thew new speed API does it).

Orebfuscator does not change any blocks, it just sends them differently to the client (obfuscates what players can not see).

I am adding a simple hook to CompatNoCheatPlus to set the fly and walk speeds to a maximum to let NoCheatPlus do the speed limiting.

Posted Aug 10, 2012I don't mind where the fix and enabling comes from, just want 3d fly back with speed :)
I've always thought NCP would be good for controlling fly speeds, I just want the speed modifier to work client side via mod like it has done before.. only with the amount of max speed a player is limited to by perms to be controlled by NCP?

We will be evaluating if and how to use the speed API, though enabling flying mods could be a task for an enabling plugin, while NoCheatPlus has preventing things from happening as a basic principle, but that is not to be taken as a declining statement.
We will address this somehow...

Posted Aug 10, 20123.7.0 dev, latest bukkit (1.3.1 dev), this plugin causes players to lag => accidental killing (when kicking under, going down on stairs etc.), missing blocks
first i thought its some kind of bukkit problem, but after disabling only this plugin it works without these problems
edit: so missing blocks are still problem, but not that much

you can find his explanation for the coding on the above thread. They are going to be implementing an API to give plugins control over some aspects of flying and other movement, my guess would be that as soon as that is done NCP should be able to hook into the API and give us a way to control speeds and other aspects of movement that we have not had before.
If someone from the NCP team could look at this and let us know if they can hook into it I would very much appreciate it.
edit: They have added the flight speed check API into dev build 2327 any chance someone from the team can check it out and let us know if ncp can implement it for us?
