NoCheatPlus

Detect and fight the exploitation of various flaws/bugs in Minecraft!
Introduction
NoCheatPlus attempts to prevent cheat clients from exploiting weaknesses of Minecraft or its protocol, making your server more safe. Checks cover a wide range of issues including flying and speeding, fighting hacks, fast block breaking and nukers, inventory hacks, chat spam and other types of malicious behaviour. NoCheatPlus puts emphasis on configurability and allows you to customize actions that are carried out when a player fails a check (e.g. silent cancelling, executing commands, just logging). Bypass permissions allow to control what check to apply for which players, all checks can be deactivated in the configuration, also having the option for world-specific configuration files. Many checks allow more detailed configuration to adjust sensitivity.
Certainly NoCheatPlus is not a magical bullet, it uses a lot of heuristics and even guessing, so you will encounter false positives here and there and also not catch every single violation. Example video of how NoCheatPlus blocks cheats (outdated plugin version).
NoCheatPlus was introduced by NeatMonster, building on the code base of NoCheat by Evenprime.
Recommended
The following plugins might be useful to have a look at.
ProtocolLib
Allows NoCheatPlus to activate packet-level checks, covering a range of exploits that can't be monitored using ordinary means. Since roughly Minecraft 1.7.10, the fight.speed check can't work as expected anymore, due to changes in CraftBukkit. With ProtocolLib this can be repaired.
CompatNoCheatPlus (cncp)
Make plugins like mcMMO or MachinaCraft more compatbile with NoCheatPlus. Not all existing plugins are covered (yet), but you can leave a note or create an issue/ticket request for cncp. Phasing out: Citizens 2 should work with NCP out of the box, MagicSpells are working on compatibility too - rest will be integrated into NCP.
Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator fights all sorts of X-ray-hacks by altering the map information that is sent to the players, such that they have to mine blocks to actually reveal what is behind. Virtually a "must have". (Latest versions of Spigot contain features of Orebfuscator.)

Posted Oct 11, 2015People get lagged back when they PvP and run, this has something to do with the survivalfly action. What VL etc. do you prefer for me to use?
Secondly, for a PvP server.. which config changes do I need? Do you mind to make a good config for me Asofold?

We will make a full release once the latest changes have stabilized and after putting fight checks on feet once more.
Until then, for 1.8, you might keep to the latest "mostly stable" development build, unless you want to help testing with the latest ones.
We might upload the "mostly stable" one(s) as alpha/beta, but not as "recommended".

For 1.8 .... are you using the latest "mostly stable" development build? The latest development build is rather for the brave right now, we hav to consolidate - certainly the latest version available on BukkitDev is long outdated, concerning 1.8.
Best includ the output of the "ncp version" command as text, so we can rule out current specialties quickly.

I've been getting some weird problems with this plugin recently. For starters, admins in creative mode cannot use sprint while flying. NCP detects it as flying too fast (in minecraft 1.8 and even lower I think you can press left ctrl while flying to speed up your flight). Secondly, my members cannot jump on a fence block from an adjacent block. If any member or even staffmember tries to jump onto a fence block from any adjacent block they get tp'ed back to the main block. They're simply trying to climb onto the fence but can't even do that.
I do believe I have no conflicting plugins as none of my other plugins change flight speed or have anything to do with movement or such. Please just verify if these are valid bugs and please try and fix them if possible

There is nothing you can do about slime blocks using build 743.
You should rather use the latest "mostly stable" or "recommended" build on Jenkins, unless you want to support testing with using the absolutely latest development builds.
Which builds did you have issues with? If it is the latest development build, it should be worth a ticket.

I'm having a problem with SurvivalFly, making the player getting teleported back to the Slime Block instead of bouncing on it, after landing on a Slime Block after falling from a high distance.
I'm running NCP 3.11.1-RC-sMD5NET-b743. I am not running the lastest version because this problem is not fixed and even another issue related to "low to roof-jumps" is induced in that version. (If you try to sprint and jump where the height of the air is 2.5 blocks, you will be teleported down)
Is there any solution to this? Thanks in advance.

You can temporarily turn it off with "/ncp notify off", or permanently and globally by disabling the logging.backend.ingamechat, setting active to false there.
Alternatively you could also remove/alter log actions for individual checks, where you would have control over the violation levels to log for. That only works on a per-check basis.

Please provide your NoCheatPlus and server version, in most cases this happens if you use an outdated NC+ version which does not include the new block data. I recommend trying out the latest build on Jenkins.

The SurvivalFly-check is teleporting players back while they walk or jump next to fence and cobblestone wall, preventing some parkour jumps to be undoable (a solid block with fence in the middle). Are you aware of this bug, or is there a fix for it? Disabling SurvivalFly is not really an option since it will allow fly hacking on a parkour server.

Thank you for noticing, this is a bug or the setting just has changed and we have not adjusted it.
Until a fix is available (and the development line later than the last "mostly stable" build has stabilized), you could add the block id or name (DRAGON_EGG) to the instabreak list in the compatibility section, which will allow instant breaking that type of block then.

You can already control for which violation level log messages are sent, including where to send them (chat, console, file). Consider having a look at the actions entries for the verious checks in the configuration of NCP and https://github.com/NoCheatPlus/Docs/wiki/General . Essential for a vl section is the cancel part, in order to prevent the associated action, but the log messages can be removed, or you add in another vl>... section with a cancel and the log action. If you have a specific check in mind we can give an example for the actions entry...
We just don't have global switches, also because vls will vary by a lot amongst checks.

You would need to look over at compatNoCheatPlus. Depends if SkillAPI has the right hooks we can use for exemption. I recommend to create a ticket over cncp and explain exactly what isn't working (which skills).

Posted Sep 12, 2015This is a really nice plugin, the only real thing I would like from this plugin is a violation explanations... Ex. FastBreak - How do the violations work? SurvivalFly - How do the violations work? FastPlace - How do the violations work? etc
