MyHungerGames

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server.
These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
The goal of this project was not only to create the Hunger games (commonly also referred to as Survival Games), but allow to server owners and admins tweak the game to their exact needs. That is why almost every part of this plugin can be customized to fit your exact needs. MyHungerGames has features that several other's Hunger Games's plugins don't have, including per-arena settings and in-game stats.

What is feature-match?
If you see a feature in another plugin that this one doesn't have, tell us and we'll add it within a reasonable amount of time. But we will also make sure the feature is fully customizable. Post a ticket, mark it as "enchantment", and write your ideas.

Actually, right now, there are no money rewards, but that is good idea and will be put on the TODO.
The error is because there was no item in hand when you typed the command, and you did not specify the item. In the next version, this error will be replaced with a more friendly chat message.

Inventories can be saved on join. In v0.5.2 there is a bug with inventories actually getting cleared but it will be fixed in the next release.

Posted Jul 24, 2012The isolation of inventories when they join the game would be really great, because not always people (the new ones) who want to join the hunger game have where to leave their items, they either lose them or can't play that hunger game.

In order to auto-start this without the users having to do anything more than join, set auto-vote to true and set min-vote to the number of players you want to player. And there are no kits, but there is sponsoring. Perhaps kits will be in a future version. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask! There is also a grace-period option in the latest builds, so expect it in the next release!

Posted Jul 23, 2012This one looks quite interesting, but I don't get it? I've tried a few hungergames servers and they all started automatically, just had to join and wait for the hungergame to start. Players had a 2 minute invulnerability after the start, then they dropped out one by one, killing each other. The servers also had "/kits" players could buy, but I guess that can be handeled by another plugin like Essentials. Anyway, I'm going to try this one for our next LAN party

I didn't understand how to make a block convert into redstone for a moment, would you mind explaining it a little bit more?
And about the auto-timing I believe that it should be: When the minimum number of required players join the game, it should start after x minutes stated in configuration and message maybe appear telling other people the missing time.

Actually sign listening can do that:
Sign listening allows designated signs to be turned into a restone torch for the length of a button press.
To use them: Set the first line to "[MyHungerGames]" without quotes. Set the second line to what you want to listen for: this can be any of the folloring: gamecreate, gameend, gameload, gamestart, gamestop, playerjoin, playerkick, playerkill, playerleave, playerquit On the third line, set the name of the game to listen for, or blank for all games
The only problem with the auto-start by time is that when would you start the time? When the last game ends? When the first player joins? When the min-players is acheived?
The timeout sounds like a good idea.

Posted Jul 21, 2012I liked your plugin most than others, specially because I don't have to dedicate a complete server just for hunger games, I can use your plugin together with other features/other worlds of free build, etc. There are some bugs to be fixed, but the plugin in awesome.

You're welcome. I know there are some bugs, but they are getting ironed out, and will be out by the full release. But for now, let me see:
Yes, I'm aware of remove-items not working. It's going to be tested soon. Yes, unfortunately this can happen and I've been brainstorming some ideas on how to stop this. Any protected regions will not be able to be broken, in-game or otherwise. I suggest having a separate world or protected closed-off region that players spawn in. I will check the code for when inventory saving/loading/clearing occurs and make sure that is correct. It may be mutliinv's fault, but it may not be. It seems there has been a problem with the config files overwriting existing ones. This is been hunted down.

Posted Jul 21, 2012hi i just want to thank u for this plug in,this the only one tht works good for me,ill base my server on this plug in,i have a request and a bug report.
im having the issue with the items droped in my hunger games world not being deleted,i dont know if im missing something but i need a timer before player can attack each other after spawn,one big problem in my server is when someone dc inside the map and the current match ends my users spawn in the hunger games world,but the restricitions for the game like no break are disabled because there is no game active,so anyone caan grief my hunger games world,can i use residence to protect my world without affecting the game? now im using multi inventories,because empty inventories every time is not good for a pure pvp server but i find sometimes the items get duplicated,or my users just lost all the items after leaving a game,i think its multiinv fault,can u please add separate inventories? and for the last and most important bug,i cant get the restricted items (block or place) to work everytime i add items like this "special-blocks-place: [2, 3]" my config just gets deleted,the config.yml is still there in my server but its a blank page,i added just 1 item and worked fine but it showed in my config in this format - 248 not [248] but it worked fine,just adding multiple items dont work for me.ty very much and excuse my bad english

Posted Jul 21, 2012I am sort of confused. I wanted to add chest that automatically restore so I added to config chest-loot and the items with the chance, then in the game added some chests with /hga add chest <game name> but items do not appear in chest, what I am doing wrong?

Ok, so still not sure what is causing the restock to not work, but it is being looked at. About the fixed chest thing: Are you using v0.5.2 or the file linked to on the v0.5.2 download page?

no response to the command here to, cannot even add fixed chest (whatever it does, i suppose a fixed chest with every game the same items, like you want @ start chests/random in-game chests)
Can you make a bit more explaining work on the specific setups, i dont know how to make the games the same all time (like restocking the chests/dispensers etc)

I don't believe that this plugin is to blame for that. The only thing that has the potential to delete worlds is if you have reload-world to true. If so, something might have gone wrong. This feature was and is extremely experimental and is getting removed in the next version.
However, if this plugin was the cause of the deletion, I would like to pass my deepest apologies.
