About MV2
Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with NetherPortals.
In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but *not bloated*! Multiverse provides the easiest to use world management solution for your Minecraft server, big or small, and with great addons like Portals and NetherPortals, what's not to love!
Multiverse is back! Is your server, a Multiverse?
Multiverse-Portals Features
- Restrict users from using specific portals with permissions
- Charge users to use specific portals!
- Exempt users from portal fees.
- Launch users through the air when they enter a Multiverse Portal!
- Allow minecarts/boats through Multiverse Portals
So long Awesome Builds
We use to have this notion of an "Awesome Build" or AB which was suppose to be thought of like Bukkit's Recommended Build system. Awesome Builds were ones that we put extra testing into and were meant to be very stable. Unfortunately there will be no more Awesome Builds. Our development team doesn't have the time to devote to the project that we use to. As such, we've moved to a new build system which you'll notice in the new version numbering. Our release builds here should be stable; Lots of people have had time to vet them for us while they were only development builds. While we don't have much time to work on the project, we do still take critical bugs very seriously and try to get them fixed as quickly as possible.

I am not an author/contributor of this project. I answer what I can/know on my own time.

Posted Mar 20, 2013I'm having a bit of a problem... The plugin will let me create a worlds and teleport to them but when I go to make a portal to them it says that the world cannot be found. When trying to import them it says that they already know about them. Any suggestions? I have a hosted server I don't run it off my own PC.

multiverse.portal.access.<portal> is not a valid permission node. where <portal> is you must replace with the name of the portal, example: multiverse.portal.access.tospawn
I replaced <portal> with the name of the portal i want them to access, although that is just an example :)

But... if the last is 1.5 and I'm using 1.4.7 how can I know which is the best dev build to use?. Or are all they retroactive full functional?

MV-Portals, along with some other plugins in the MV suite (Core & Portals), load up smoothly for me.
And while the Jenkins server does not show what CB version each build is for, you can pretty much bet that the latest MV plugins will most likely work on the latest CraftBukkit.

Posted Mar 17, 2013My server is spending 5-6 minutes to load Multi-Verse portals. That's really annoying. Is this being really maintained?. We can't see any kind of moving from "Authors" here. (Only can see some dev build being compiled but so difficult is to set which dev build is for which bukkit version?, or say: Yes, we are working on it. I even created two tickets and not response to them. It is really frustrating).

Posted Mar 17, 2013Is there any way to deny access to a portal if the player is not using spoutcraft? I see a perm node for mv core multiverse.core.spout that i have no idea what it's for.

The devs apparently stopped publishing recommended versions on to BukkitDev.
If you want the latest version, grab it from here: http://ci.onarandombox.com/job/Multiverse-Portals/

Posted Mar 14, 2013I love the mod and am having a lot of fun with it on my server with a few friends. We used it to create an attached creative mode world and set up a portal into and out of that creative world from our survival world. I've figured out how to set destination orientations using p:portalname:orientation but I'm still having some trouble. I was able to set the correct orientation for our portal into Creative, but even after setting the destination for our portal out of Creative [Creative_Out dest p:Creative_In:e] it still points players north into a wall after teleporting. I've tried rebuilding both portals, and setting their destinations from scratch, as well as using [/mvp modify dest here]. Looking into portals.yml it seems to be set up correctly:
Creative_In: destination: p:Creative_Out:w
Creative_Out: destination: p:Creative_In:e This one actually points players north not east.
Any ideas?

Posted Mar 13, 2013I'm been trying to figure this out for days now.
How do you make the portals cost Emeralds to go through? I noticed a modify price section. But I don't understand it. I wanted to make players pay 15 Emeralds to go through a portal. Or is it not possible?

You can do this feature using PEX.

Posted Mar 11, 2013Hey Guys,
I am really loving this plugin, but I have one quick question. Maybe I am missing something, but is it possible to have a portal automatically give permissions or promote (using PEX) a player on entry of the portal? I am wanting to have a spawn area with portal selections to a world, in which case the player's permissions would depend on their portal choice to the world.
I appreciate your help in advance.
