Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.
Documentation, Tutorials, Quick Start Guide, and Demo Videos
For documentation and information, use this link:

Also the builds on that site are more up to date than the builds on this site, so download the latest version there. Please be aware the builds on that site have not been checked by the dev.bukkit.org staff, so use at your own risk.
Here is a brief summary of Movecraft features covered on that site:

- Misc Commands - /manoverboard, /release, etc
- Remote Signs to remotely activate command signs from other parts of the ship (Turn turrets, launch torpedoes, etc)
Craft Options
- Basic craft configuration options including size, speed, allowed block types, required blocks, etc

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Probably by next weekend, as in, the 19th. I'll be heading out of town, so I won't be able to work on my actual real world blimp, so that means more time for minecraft airship stuff :p

They look good from what I can see, but the pics are kind of small. Any chance of higher resolution?
Although, a design with separated envelopes/gas bags usually will be less efficient than a design with an integrated gondola and envelope. So what that means is less armor or weapons than it could have otherwise. For that reason, for a warship I usually don't like the separated gasbag design. The same was true in history; the first airships were gondolas suspended from gasbags, but they quickly realized a combined hull worked better.
Still, I would love a better view of the designs.

Hi morningburst,
The number one most common error people have when using movecraft for the first time is, no craft files found on startup.
Your friend most likely added movecraft without adding appropriate craft files. you can either make them yourself using the craft templates above (which i did) or you could download loraxe42's crafts from the youtube link found in the same location.

Sure, I just need some more information about the problem. Do you get any errors on the server console? Did you try to follow either the quickstart guide, or the tutorial video? How many crafts does the server say it detects when it boots up? It assumes 1, so you are looking for a number greater than 1. Also, make sure they set up permissions. For testing, run it as a server OP.

Posted Mar 29, 2014Recently my friend Installed and tried to used Move craft on her server. It hasn't been working at all, but we have soon visited other servers with the same plugin, and they are able to use it perfectly fine. She has even tried to get other plugins to help it work. There has been no luck, whatsoever. I hope to have an answer by someone with the plugin. If you could help that'd be amazing.

Posted Mar 27, 2014Ok, the dev version has been updated to 1.7.5, and canDirectControl has been added. If its not present in the craft file, it defaults to true. So you have to add it to the .craft file in order to disable Direct Control. Also, door rotation has been fixed.
Dev version download in its usual place.

Yup, noclassdeffound. It means its trying to run the wrong version of the internal minecraft code. I imagine you got 1.7.5 spigot? I will be updating to that for the dev version soon. Probably today or tomorrow. I'm waiting for glue to dry on my real-life airship, so I have a bit of time.

Posted Mar 27, 2014@VariousArtist Ok, I will get that done in the dev version. I had been ignoring 1.7.5 because it didn't seem it did much and people didn't seem to be switching to it. But I'll update it now.
In other news, I think I have Direct Control as good as it is going to get. There is still some bouncing, mainly if you have high lag, and a small cockpit. Its caused by the pilot bouncing off the walls. One solution is to make your cockpit have glass at eye level in all direction. Because you don't bounce off glass. Dev version at the usual location.
