Welcome to the ultimate monster hell. I have brought together everything anyone everyone could ever want to do with monsters into one completely hellbent plugin. Use at your own risk.
Warning - Zombie digging is destructive, if you turn it on and configure it, please backup your worlds.
Plugin has been thoroughly tested as working properly, if you have trouble please report it so I can make it work for a wider range of setups!
PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.
Monster apocalypse is copyright by the individual aliased on this site as blainicus, all rights reserved. You are free to use it commercially, as long as you do not sell the plugin itself unmodified, and do not claim ownership. Source code is included for self-modification. You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:

Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Posted Aug 14, 2012I've been trying all day to get this plugin to work with Tekkit version 3.1.2; It never works. The mod loads and I can place the spawnpoints (the only thing I want with the mod) monsters never spawn. I get errors like this in my log:

When I run the exact same jar file with the same config on a vanilla 1.3.1 world, it works perfectly. I've tried using the older 1.2.5 release and the same problems occurred. I saw a video of a much earlier version of tekkit working alongside (I assume) a far older version of MA, but maybe compatibility changed since then? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Posted Aug 13, 2012I need some help. I cant get the spawn rates right. I got something i like for skeletons and zombies and pig zombies. But the giants are another story. Can anyone describe what im doing wrong. They just keep spawning in a mass, even though the spawn rate is 100.1 and they are 1.0 Anyone got any info. Im on my server TRYING to get it to work. If you can help that would be great! My ip is 207.6.159.68.37377
Ok now i have gone to 99.1% and nothing is spawning BUT zombies...

Yep, I got the idea. Other than 8.1e->9.0, there will not be any changed non-bukkit workarounds, so the plugin won't be breaking with each minecraft patch from now on. If I supported custom mobs, it would.

This config should almost certainly work for many zombies and a few skeletons. You will need to be in survival mode for them to spawn.

Posted Aug 13, 2012Hey so i setup my config so ONLY zombies spawn and no other mobs. I also played with some other config stuff.
I then turn my server on and Monster Apocalypse loads properly yet mobs such as creepers and skeletons spawn even though i set it up so they dont....
The only thing from the MA config that seemed to work was the constant night time thats it... You can find my whole config here: CLICK ME FOR MY CONFIG Any suggestions?

"PetControl"
in the config it is possible to set immunities for mobs. At the moment Dogs and Cats have one problem - they don't want to live and swinn in lava or get drunk. It would be nice to have a possibility to change only the immunities.
So a plugin with follow config would be nice (only set immunites, no spawn or something like this, a small handy plugin)

I think something like WorldGuard be better suited for your needs. You can use it to simply set the faction region's mob-spawning flag to deny.

Im not sure what you were trying to say, grammar being all over the place and everything, but as far as his custom API for Health, Damage, and Etc. they all seem to work just fine on 1.3.1 (while the plugin for some reason refuses to work with my main server it works on my backup hosted at Mooshroom.net) and doesn't seem to cause any issues. Out of curiousity, could bypassing bukkit like you mentioned be the cause of the config file overwriting itself on some hosts and not others?

"It is possible, plugins can support custom entities as evidenced by SilkSpawners, which is open source and can be used as an example of any other plugin developer is interested in adding support in their plugin. But, I would understand if other developers don't want to do this, because it involves bypassing the Bukkit API which decreases maintainability (last version of SilkSpawners I released only works on 1.2.5, though I'm trying to get someone to update it for 1.3.1... but the obfuscated fields change, so API bypasses are likely to break with each new release)."

So i hope this bug gets fixed as soon as posible.

You were right mate, it was my host for some messed up reason. A note to all other players with a similar problem as me, This plugin is NOT COMPATIBLE with your server if you are using x-rayhosting, I don't know why it just isnt. However it seems to work just fine with Mooshroom.

Well I have two different hosts right now and since x-ray isn't working i'll give mooshroom a go, otherwise it's just not reasonable to think it's me anymore, i hope this works :(
