MineralManager
Mineral Manager
This plugin is designed to allow server administrators to have tighter control over their server's economy as well as introduce new and interesting experiences for their players. MineralManager is the second generation of the MineralVein plugin; with improved performance, customization, control, and reliability it makes a big jump forward from the original concept.
This plugin works by allowing specified blocks to regenerate after they've been broken. From Cactus to Diamond, from Dirt to Logs, admins can control which blocks are allowed to respawn, where they're allowed to respawn, and what should take their place when they're broken. This plugin also allows for a bit of randomness in its regeneration by using a degradation parameter that causes blocks to sometimes forgo respawning when they're broken.

You can do anything from creating public mines near spawn filled with iron and coal that never breaks so new players get started quicker to having secret forests that regenerate completely after enough time as passed. Diamonds would become something for your players to guard and protect rather than something to find, mine and move on. An innocent patch of grass could even have gold ore hidden inside. The possibilities are endless and the excitement is contagious! Make your server unique and fun with this easy, yet intricate plugin.

That is most likely caused by a problem in your config.yml. Check and make sure there are no spaces in your configuration names and that there are no "tab" characters or other formatting issues. If you continue to have problems please submit a ticket and include the contents of your config.yml and someone will take a look at it and get back to you! :)

Hi @crazydred! I looked into your issue and it looks like it was an issue with the version of craftbukkit you were using. Try updating to the latest build and let me know if the issue persists by submitting a ticket here!
Thanks!

Thanks so much for that fast reply! I think i might have found the plugin you were thinking of "DropsToInventory" if anyone is looking for the same thing as i, and your idea for the multi ore producing veins is a major help, thanks so much! As always keep up the good work.

Thanks! Both of those features are awesome ideas! However, there are ways to achieve similar results using the current plugin and additional plugins.
I'm pretty sure there is a plugin out there that causes any blocks a player breaks go directly to their inventory although the name currently escapes me (I'll look and see if I can find it).
As for having blocks exhaust after they're mined a number of times there is one solution although it may not be exactly what you're looking for.
You can set the cooldown parameter for the block to 0. Meaning that when it's mined it will instantly respawn, and then set the degrade so some number to determine about how many ores you will get from mining that block until its gone. If you set degrade to 0.1 you should get about 10 ores from that block on average before it disappears.
Another option is to use something like mcMMO which causes players to get more drops from blocks with increased levels of mining alongside MineralManager.
I'll keep those suggestions in mind though! Thanks! :)

Posted Oct 20, 2013Hey, i cant tell you how happy i am to finally see MineralVein remade. That being said i was wondering if you could add a feature so that whatever the player mines, the ore goes directly into their inventory? Also maybe a option to allow an ore to be mined more than once before it is "out of minerals". Cheers and keep up the great work!

I'm glad you like the plugin! To disable the messages just go into your config.yml file for the plugin and where it says displayMessages and then "onBlockBreak" or "onBlockProspect" set those to FALSE or NONE.
If you'd like more help check out the config.yml help page. It's a little outdated but most of the information is accurate still.
I hope thiat helps!
@robertjones6 I haven't specifically tested MineralManager with Tekkit, although I'm guessing with the improvements that have been made to the plugin over time the latest version probably would work the best.

Those [Mineral Manager] This IRON_ORE will be available in 10m. are all over the monitor. Quit annoying.
Thank you very much. Regards Zippolino

Posted Sep 18, 2013Hi all,
Thanks for using MineralManager! We really do appreciate your support, unfortunately due to Crast and mine's busy schedules we don't have a lot of time to put towards developing and maintaining the plugin and we try our best to address any serious issues that come up.
The plugin (as far as I know) is still working with the latest version although like you've pointed out there are certain blocks that have strange (or non-existent) spawning behaviors. I apologize for that, and we will try and correct them as we have time.
Thanks again for being such awesome people, and hopefully our schedules will free up and give us developers more time to make this plugin even more awesome for you all!

I'm going to try and explain this as best as possible.
My entire world is claimed as global for world guard. Flags: pvp: Deny, Build: Deny. When I put a MM region on this and set the region priority to 1 (which is higher than global) and create a world guard region that is the same size as the MM region and same priority. Players can mine the ores but nothing drops for them. When I set the flag for Build to Allow it drops the ore but also allows them to place a block down which creates a respawning ore. So people can mine one coal, place it and mine that one, so on and so forth. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Generally this bug is caused by an issue in your config.yml file. Make sure you're not using any "tab" characters in your file and that no section names contain spaces and are spelled correctly if they are keywords. I would suggest renaming your current "config.yml" to "backup_config.yml" and trying to create a region using one of the default configurations. If that doesn't work I'll do some more investigating but generally the error you're experiencing is caused by the config.yml file not being set up correctly.
I hope that helps! :)
@A1legged
As far as your issue goes, I'm not 100% sure what you mean. Could you submit a ticket with all of the relevant information as well as a list of steps to reproduce the problem if you could. Thanks!
