A simple to use plugin that lets you play tag in Minecraft!
v1.0 has had major changes!
BE SURE TO DELETE THE MCTAG FOLDER BEFORE UPDATING
How to use:
Install the plugin then run the command /tag. While a game of tag is on, hit players to tag them.
Commands:
- /tag start - Starts a game of tag and makes a random person it
- /tag stop - Ends the game of tag
- /tag join - Join the game of tag
- /tag leave - Leave the game of tag
- /tag it - View who is currently it
- /tag players - View who is currently in the arena
- /tag setspawn - Set spawn for arena
- /tag tagback allow - Allows tagbacks
- /tag tagback forbid - Forbids tagbacks
- /tag freezetag on - Freezetag mode on
- /tag freezetag off - Freezetag mode off
- /tag reload - Reloads config
Permissions:
- MCTag.start - Allows you to use the /tag start command
- MCTag.stop - Allows you to use the /tag stop command
- MCTag.join - Allows you to use the /tag join command - true by default
- MCTag.leave - Allows you to use the /tag leave command - true by default
- MCTag.it - Allows you to use the /tag it command - true by default
- MCTag.players - Allows you to use the /tag players command
- MCTag.tagbackallow - Allows you to use the /tag tagback allow command
- MCTag.tagbackforbid - Allows you to use the /tag tagback forbid command
- MCTag.freezetagon - Allows you to use the /tag freezetag on command
- MCTag.freezetagoff - Allows you to use the /tag freezetag off command
- MCTag.setspawn - Allows you to use the /tag setspawn command
- MCTag.nocommands.bypass - Allows you to bypass no commands in arena
- MCTag.reload - Allows you to use the /tag reload command

- allow_tagbacks: true #tagbacks on or off
- freeze_tag: false #freeze tag on or off
- diamond_amount: 1 #diamond reward from winning freezetag
- air_in_hand_to_tag: true #tagging requires air
- damage_from_tagger: true #tagging hurts the player tagged
- arena_mode: false #arena mode on or off
- spawn_location: world|0|0|0 #spawn location for arena
- commands_in_arena: false #commands can not be used in arena

Posted Jun 15, 2012What about adding the ability to have people join a game? So it isn't a global announcement and only displays the 'its' so people who have joined the game. So something like /tag join, /tag list, /tag leave, maybe even add a feature so if someone leaves, they can't rejoin until the game ends, just to make sure someone doesn't leave because they are 'it', then rejoin.

yeah i like the idea of being able to toggle tagback with a command. That way two if only two ppl are playing they can tag each other.

Good idea! How about just making it so you can't tag the person who tagged you? Edit: Maybe a command /Tagback which toggles whether or not you can tag the person who tagged you?

Posted May 31, 2012love the game. Wondering if there could be a way to prevent "tag backs" Like once you are tagged there is a a few seconds of delay so you can't just immediately tag back the person who got you.

Hmm. Good ideas. I will add a /tagend soon I would like to keep it VERY lightweight without a config, so I don't think i will make the message configurable. Do you not like the current message? Why cant you just make a warp for the tag arena? Or how exactly would you want the Tag-Arena.

There is nothing that would make you explode. Did you say /tag and the hit someone with your hand? Also there is no permission for being able to get hit, only for saying the /tag command.
