Components:

MChat - The core of the plugin, provides all the necessary functions expected of a chat formatting plugin, plus some more!
MChannels - Introduces the feature to create different chat channels that users may join
MSocial - Adds additional social features such as conversations and custom formatted pms, shouting/yelling, and custom /say formatting.
MAdvanced - Adds extra functionality such as an AFK Kicker, /who player lookups, and /online player lists.

MChat is now heavily dependent on Vault for interacting with other plugins, please remember to always use the latest released version, to prevent any issues.

It is not a conflict with essentials, I am not using essentials and getting the same error (minus the essentials part).

It have a conflict ~~with Essentials~~ on the last devbuild when a player died.

I can't get the TownyChat integrated with mChat. Is that something I'm doing wrong?

I have noticed a lot of tickets for the EXACT same thing lately.

PLEASE READ THE HELP PAGES BEFORE ASKING FOR HELP!

Example A: Issues with prefix's for group names. *Just read variables and config help pages and you would have seen the +G variable and groupnames: settings.*

Example B: Issues with getting tabbed list to work right Just read variables and config help pages and you would have seen +G variable and mchate's enable config.

I just got done updating/clarifying/adding content to every page. So if you had issues understanding any of them before, check them again. I spent a lot of hours on all these pages. If I did miss anything, make a ticket.

If you comment on here anything other then a Thank You I will delete the comment. Take the time to make a Ticket instead.

I do this because it is easy to miss or forget a comment, also you are unable to attach screen shots and config files in comments where you can in tickets. All in all it is FAR easier to manage any questions/bug reports with Tickets.

Request: I use Mchat and Heroes together and use this to display the class and level above the players heads to other spout players. problem is there is 2 levels a heroes users has at one time.. Class and Profession. the Hereos level variable displays the highest out of the 2.
So if you were a class - Assassin lvl 5 and profession - laborer lvl 20 your header would display "Assassin lvl 20"

Good News!

After a lot of hard work on MiracleM4n's behalf and my testing and bug reporting, channels now work 100%. (Only on the latest development version)

As far as I know there should be no bugs with channels at all, but of course if you find one, feel free to make a ticket.

Do not make a ticket if it is about the following.

When you chat it shows the same chat to all channels (we know about this, just leave the channel you don't want the chat to appear in).
Channel names can only be in lower case (even if you set it with a capital letter). We know about this because it is how MiracleM4n had written it. It may later be changed so you can have finer control on how the channel appears.
There is no way to control where the channel names show up or remove the names in general. We know about this and it might be fixed later on, for now deal with it :P
There is no way to control the channel join/leave messages or be able to prevent it showing up or not. This may be changed later on.
There is no way to see all of the channels there are available to join. Will be added later I am sure.

I am sorry you have issues reading and following rules/requests. I can handle the tickets as they come just fine. It is far harder to help people with comments when there can be as many as 10 comments in a day. If I allowed everyone to ask things in comments some people would go un-noticed. Also some of my responses would be un-seen by the commentee if a bunch of new comments were made after I responded to them.

I know you think it is required to have a how to install, but you are only correct if the plugin requires more then one step to install. Since the only thing you have to do is put mchat's jar in to the plugins folder, there is no need for a install guide. If you cannot figure that one step out on your own, you really should leave the server management to the more literate people.

Might lower your ticket load if you had a section on HOW TO INSTALL.

seriously, How do i install. I looked in your zip file, and your page that has any indication that reads "Read me this is how you can install." rule number one of webpage content management, don't make your readers hunt for information...

I can't edit the cinfig file. I wanted to change, that the players prefix is in the players list but every time i edited it and reload the server it was thhere Need help!!!
