Lottery
Lottery is a simple text-based plugin for Minecraft Servers.
What exactly does it do?
A user is able to enter the lottery at any given time and will be given a number, the entry price is displayed in /lottery price the pot (/lottery pot) will be raised with the amount the user paid to enter it. Either when an OP executes the /Lottery draw command or the maximum amount of buyable tickets is reached (configurable), the system will automatically pick 3 random numbers, if the pot for example was 150$, the first person would win 75$, the second 50$ and the third 25$.
Why is this useful?
A lot of people would like to make money in an economy, and this isn't always an easy task. If they're feeling lucky, they are able to enter the lottery and who knows, maybe they'll hit the jackpot.
Won't this ruin my economy?
Not at all! The plugin is driven with the money that users paid for the tickets, so there will be no money taken or added to the economy at all.
What happens when I restart my server?
No problem! The plugin uses hashmaps and saves those in the server folder, making sure none of its data gets lost.
What if someone wins, but is logged out?
That also is stored in the hashmaps, as soon as they log in, they'll claim their reward, without the need of any kind of online database.
Are there any bugs or issues I should know about?
There are none at the moment.
Will the plugin keep getting updated?
Yes, and all future updates excluding fixes or performance improvements, will all be configurable so it'll all be optional.

The drawing once a month is possible, making them donator on the other hand.. It all depends on which plugin you're using.

Posted Feb 21, 2013I don't know how you would configure this, but I don't think it should be too difficult. There's always a winner which I'm not a huge fan of to be honest. What I'd really like is for there to be user input chance. For example: A user will click a sign and it will ask for 5 numbers (within a range set in the config file). When it's time for the drawing the plugin will randomly pick 5 numbers). Just like the lottery, the more numbers you have matched the more money you win. The amount you win will be set in the config file regardless of how much is in the pot.
I'd also like to see that there be a set number of "ghost" tickets that could steal the pot from all users in the server. Basically if a ghost ticket wins, no one wins and the pot will just be added to.
These features would be great if applicable. Thanks!

Posted Jan 23, 2013I found a bug! Without a ticketlimit Users are able to make infinite Money by just buying more and more tickets! I had a User on my Server with 128447810.81 Dollers. He had about 120.000 befor the startet playing the lottery!

The customized messages should be no problem,
I'll add that in the next release,
as for the signs, I'll see, it depends on how much time and space it would take.

Posted Jan 17, 2013Do you think you could make it so it uses signs too? Also, i had an idea that might be good what if you could enable on the config that instead of money you could make it so it's a item randomizer or you could make it so it does only one specific item and you could put what item you would want it to be on the config. Do you think their could be a part in config were you could enable the prefix of the plugin and what you would want it to see when you do /lottery. Could you make it you could edit everything the plugin says when you do a command through the config? So when a player bought a ticket you could enable or disable if you want it to say it or what you would like it to say. I'd thought this could be more customizable

You're able to set a certain amount of tickets that have to get sold before it auto-draws the winners. If you for example set that value to 100, it'll draw it as soon as it sells 100 tickets or more.
