Changelog
v1.2.1
Note: This file has been tested only on v1.7.X of minecraft.
- Fixed important exception that resulted for new users of the plugin. The config.yml would not properly generate and a really annoying manually fix was required for those new to using the plugin. This has been addressed.
- Fixed arena command signs. Enable, disable, forcestart and forcestop signs were not working properly but are now fixed.
- Fixed error when reloading / restarting server. The delay on firework detonation caused an error when an admin restarted or reloaded a server while an arena was running. To compensate, if the server is being reloaded / restarted, fireworks will not be launched.
- Beacon support has been added. Alongside compasses, a beacon will shine at the current hill if enabled in the config. The beacon will immediately try to destroy the first 30 blocks above it (any other block higher will not be broken). The beacon will try to make a 3x3 square of Gold blocks under it to allow shining without client modification; if you do not want gold blocks, disable the beacons by setting “use-beacons” to false.
- You can now configure the auto-start timer. The timer used to be only 30 seconds and begin automatically, which might be too short or too long for server admins. Therefore, it is now configurable, with the default time being 50 seconds.
- Players can now be invincible for a certain amount of time after respawn. In an attempt to try and prevent “spawn-killing”, you can now configure a time in seconds that a player cannot take damage immediately after they hit the respawn button on their screen.
- You can now configure a minimum-score. This minimum-score is in place to make the game more exciting and to prevent “boosting”. Now, if the minimum-score was not reached, a draw is called. Otherwise, business as usual for the arena.
- Prizes now can be disabled. Some servers might not want to have arenas that give out rewards: Now, you can disable the giving of prizes altogether. Just set ‘give-prizes’ to false in your arena settings.
- (API) Added and changed events. The Leave and Join events are now changed (just the name has been changed). Also, you can now listen for when a player dies and when a player is kicked from an arena.
- Support for Factions 2.3.1+ (MCore 7.1.0+) has been added. If you set ‘prevent-power-loss’ to true, KotH will attempt to prevent power loss if you have the proper factions or mcore version. This is a bit iffy so if it doesn’t work for you please submit a bug report.
- Added an algorithm when setting arena locations. This algorithm basically checks if you set a location in a block via commands in-game, and if you did, the arena will attempt to correct it by going to the first air block in an upwards direction.
- Default coordinates of the first hill removed. To prevent NullPointerExceptions, the plugin used to automatically set the first hill at 0,64,0.. This is irritating: Now there is no first hill when an arena is created.
- Arena now takes player flight into consideration when they joined the arena. It also considers whether or not the player is still allowed to fly even after the arena ends.
