- Protection penalties (increase jail sentence if player is not behaving well)
- Guards that will kill player if he tries to escape
- Data is stored in either SQLite or MySQL.
- Supports multiple worlds
- Jailing without commands via item
- Supports escaping for role play servers.
- Allows players to vote a player to be jailed

(you can opt-out from tracking in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml)

I would think you could set up your jail cell so that the chest for their stuff is just outside the cell and set the config so they can open their own chest. When they escape, they can get their stuff back from the chest and make a run for it.
@graywolf336
I'll test some of the escaping settings when i get off work tonight.

Depends on how you have it configured, take a look at the configuration page and the configuration file to be sure. I've never tried the escape feature myself, so I can't tell you exactly how to use it as it was coded in by one of the former authors.

I see nothing in the code about it, so I'm assuming it was a planned feature that the previous developers either forgot about or didn't get to.I take that back, looks like there is some code in here for the command /votejail. I haven't tried it or tested it out personally, so I'm not too sure what all is required for it or how it works.

Lucky for you, graywolf is in the middle of a complete rewrite of the Jail plugin, lol. And I agree, this sounds like a nice new feature.

Posted Dec 13, 2013Tell me ... why does the sentence of a player go away when he escapes from prison? That doesn't make sense. The society wants retribution and re-capture of it's wanted criminals. There should be an option to keep track of escapees ongoing sentences and re-apply them when they are captured (with the added sentence from escaping - that way PlayerMoveProtectionPenalty would be more useful).
But ... I don't know if you're interested in such a largish rewrite as it would require quite a bit of changes to the jailing commands.
I will probably make my own jail plugin to suit my needs, but it would be nice to see this functionality also in Jail one day.
EDIT: I opened up a ticket about it so you will remember it when you have time to think about new features.

No it hasn't ever worked. But like I said I've only used the past couple of updates. And yeah I only saw it on the front page and was curious if it was a thing yet or not. If it isn't that's fine, but if it was just curious if you would have known why it wasn't working.
Thanks anyway.

We've played around with it on our server with no issues, except that everyone online wanted me in jail xD

Posted Dec 12, 2013Great plugin and I must say I use it quite a bit. Just curious though if this has been implemented "Allows players to vote a player to be jailed" because I have been unsuccessful in getting it to work since I started using your plugin (like last couple of versions, not too long).
