Item Switcher
Auto switching held item as needed.
Mining
Switches between axe, pickaxe and shovel depending on what block you are trying to mine.
Building
As of version 0.1.4 when the currently held stack runs out, will search your inventory to find another stack of the same block type to switch to.
Usage
Run the command /switcher to toggle item switching on and off. When switching is enabled
and you have a tool in hand you will be able to mine and build without the need to manually switch
between items in your inventory.
Run /switcher from the console or /switcher list in game to see a list of players currently using
item switching.
Permissions
The itemswitcher.switcher permission gives you access to /switcher command to turn item switching on.

Limiting switching to only when you have a tool in your hand was done on purpose as to limit 'inventory shuffling'. It may not be necessary though as you can turn off item switching all together if you want to. You can enable item switching no matter what is in your hand in the
ItemSwitcher/config.ymlby changing the following setting:The default is only axes, pickaxes, shovels and empty hand, but might have to change (since you can turn it off easily enough anyway).
I noticed in your video that while you were hitting the pig, you hit some dirt and your item switched to a shovel. Excessive item switching during combat could be annoying so it might be that if you are holding a weapon then switching should be disabled. I agree that switching to a sword (or even a bow) when you are attacking mobs would be cool, as long as I can do it in a way that is not annoying or counter productive.

Posted Aug 3, 2012The tool switching works well, and it even moves the tools back to their original slot when you finish! (Although I imagine that is more of a downside, as the tool shouldnt move to the selected slot, the selector should move to the tool.)
I did notice alot of graphical glitches that eventually brought the client to use up all available memory. Im not sure how this plugin could have caused those issues, but the server has no other plugins, and the client is original. (Also the bugs are not present when the plugin is removed.) (Ticket submitted)

Posted Jul 8, 2012@themuddfamily you have some control over the inventory on the server. You can move things around a bit, including switching what is in the held slot which is how this works.
