    Hello,

At the moment, there are two powerful skill plugins that are active: Heroes and SkillApi, Heroes is more mature than SkillAPI, but is really more of a pain to use for server owners because of it's bad documentation, closed skills, and is overall more developer-friendly.

SkillAPI is newer but is invaluably easy to use, to setup, and to customize, because of it's Dynamic Skill and Class editor. which permits the user to really easily appreciate the plugin's full extent.

As I said, both plugins provide skills and classes for the RPG experience on a server, ILS provides the loots, and Mythic mobs the monsters, unfortunately, as you may know, you can't have both Heroes and SkillAPI.

My suggestion is the following: Adding SkillAPI support.

It truly is a better skills/class plugin than heroes because of it's versatility, and it's a real shame that mythic mob is compatible with it, but not ILS, because furthering the RPG experience on a server definitively means having loots from monsters.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you'll consider.

    Bab

Any ETA on this, or if it's even getting looked at?

    Thanks, Bab

What sort of support are you looking for?

Currently, using an item that has ILS stats conflicts with the way Skillapi handles health and other stats, ILS overrides the stats from skillapi.

For example, if a player has 30 health because of his class, let's say he's lvl 10 warrior and got 1 health per lvl, which is handled by SkillAPI, putting on a ILS armor with +12 health would give him 42 health only temporarily, because as soon as he would get hit, ILS would revert his health to the standard twenty and then add the health.

Here are a few other times where a conflict happens:

    • If a player disconnects and reconnects, then SkillAPI takes over again, but as soon as the player gets hit, or heals, or gains a level, ILS takes over.
    • Also, SkillAPI features a skill bar for easy casting, the skill bar is in the inventory and uses minecraft gear for shortcut icons, like a diamond sword for a bash spell. ILS's weapon restrictions don't take that factor in, so using the bash skill without being able to wear diamond breaks the skillbar by forcing the player to unequip the diamond sword, which does so to the spell also.
    • ILS hit damage prompts aren't in tune to the way skillapi damages, it doesn't show spell damage, or shows it wrong.

These are the few things I picked up while trying it out, tried to figure out a way to get past the conflicts but the switch between the two kept happening, made it hard to continue the setting up, so I'd be so thankful for a compatibility fix!

    Thanks,

    Bab

I also was hoping the ILS update uses stack-able attributes that work along with skillAPI. That would be swell!

I would also extremely appreciate such support! SkillAPI and Item Lore Stats are a must for a RPG themed server and would be a perfect plugin couple.

Please do consider this attempt at bettering the project.

I turned off Health modification by SkillAPI
    Nothing change.
