iDisguise
This plugin enables you to disguise as a mob or as another player.

Download latest version (for CraftBukkit/Spigot 1.8–26.1 and Paper/Purpur 1.18–26.1)
Basic Usage (6.0.1+)
Disguise yourself:
- Disguise as a mob: /disguise <entity-type>
Example: /disguise zombie
Use [TAB] to get a list of all entity types.
After disguising, you will be able to see your own disguise for five seconds. - Disguise as a player: /disguise player <name>
Example: /disguise player Notch
You can always see your own player disguise. - Check your disguise: /disguise
You will be able to see your own disguise for another five seconds. - Undisguise: /undisguise
- Alter your disguise: /disguise <entity-type> <statement> ...
Example: /disguise horse setColor(WHITE) setStyle(BLACK_DOTS) setBaby()
Use [TAB] after entering the entity type to get a list of all possible statements. - In-game help: /disguise ? [page]
- By default, only server operators can use the commands. If you enable commands.use-permission-nodes in the config.yml, disguising requires the permission node iDisguise.disguise.<entity-type> (e.g., iDisguise.disguise.SNOW_GOLEM for the snow golem) or the wildcard iDisguise.disguise.*
Disguise others:
- Disguise another player: /odisguise <player> <entity-type>
- Undisguise another player: /undisguise <player>
- Player disguise and statements work as well.
- In-game help: /odisguise ? [page]
- By default, only server operators can use these commands. If you enable commands.use-permission-nodes in the config.yml, these commands require the permission node iDisguise.others AND the respective disguise-specific permission node (see above).
Permissions (6.0.1+)
By default, all commands are available to server operators only. If you enable commands.use-permission-nodes in the config.yml, the following permission nodes apply instead:
- iDisguise.* – Gives you permission for everything.
- iDisguise.admin – Trigger an update-check when you login. Display administrative information in the in-game help.
- iDisguise.disguise.* – Permission for all disguise types.
- iDisguise.disguise.<entity-type> – Permission for one single disguise type (e.g., iDisguise.disguise.SNOW_GOLEM).
- iDisguise.others – Disguise/undisguise other players.
Special Features
By default, iDisguise checks for updates when you start your server. This can be disabled by changing updates.check to false in the config.yml.
This plugin also includes an auto-update function, which is disabled by default and can be enabled by changing updates.download to true in the config.yml. (Updates are downloaded from bukkit.org)
This plugin uses bStats to collect some statistics: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/iDisguise/398
To disable bStats (globally), change enabled to false in the /plugins/bStats/config.yml.

The protocol hack server is a spigot server that allows both 1.7.x and 1.8.x clients to join. If you use that server version you will not be able to use iDisguise.
If you use a normal 1.7.10 spigot or craftbukkit server, just be patient, I'm currently working on a new version of iDisguise which will support server versions back down to 1.5.2, and still have all the new features from iDisguise 4.0.

Are you using the protocol hack server? If yes, that's the reason, iDisguise does not work on that server.

Just download the newer Spigot/Bukkit for 1.8.8, iDisguise will work on that server. You can then still play with a 1.8.1 client.

that was what i wanted to say =P because our servers have to run on 1.8.3 at the moment because another plugin does only work on this version. but that's not a problem for us - we will change that soon ^^

You have to use the latest Bukkit/Spigot(1.8.8) server for iDisguise to work.

Well, you actually cannot say it was only compatible with 1.8.8 since every 1.8 client can join on any 1.8 server. But you have to use the latest Bukkit/Spigot server for iDisguise to work. But you can then still play with every 1.8.x client.

You have to give me some more information about your problem. Otherwise I'm not able to figure out what's wrong. When I disguise and then undisguise, everything works as it should.

Posted Aug 24, 2015Hi. I have found when using this plugin that after I have undisguised myself, I keep going invisible (seen when pressing 'E'). I deleted the plugin and found that it no longer happens, so must be the plugin. Is this expected behaviour? I am running:
git-Spigot-fdc1440-53fac9f (MC: 1.8.8) (Implementing 1.8.8-R0.1-SNAPSHOT) and v4.0,1 of iDisguise.

The latest jar files I uploaded this April were just test versions that simply worked sometimes. When I updated the plugin that time, I did not have enough time to fix more than just the biggest bugs, so these last versions are really very buggy.
I'm currently working on a new version which will then really work without any bugs (hopefully). But since there were plenty of bugs and since I had not been working on this for months, this updating process now takes some time.
