Introduction
HyperConomy is the all in one economy and shop plugin. It can be a simple chest or sign shop plugin, a Vault compatible economy plugin, a region based shop plugin with many configurable options, or even a complex system of economically competing towns and kingdoms. Any vanilla Minecraft item can be traded in HyperConomy and virtually any custom item can be added as well. Prices can be configured to change dynamically or they can be set as desired. To quickly edit prices and settings you can double click on HyperConomy.jar to access the GUI editor. HyperConomy has many features including things such as item price linking and item displays. Read below or check out the wiki for more information.

Versions and Development Builds
- Recommended builds are marked with [RB] and are generally thought to be stable and bug free.
- Builds marked as [Beta] are as bug free as possible, but often have large code changes which may result in the appearance of new bugs.
- Builds marked as [Dev] are development builds that I've decided to upload to BukkitDev. I may upload dev builds on occasion to provide easy access because Bukkit staff does not allow linking to development builds.
- Development builds may contain bugs as I work on releasing a new [Beta] build. They may also contain fixes for bugs found in [Beta] builds. Use these builds if you're looking for a bug fix, or would like to try out a new feature I've just added. Also, feel free to search for bugs in the development builds. Any help with testing is greatly appreciated!
- Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
- The latest development builds can be found here.

Posted Feb 23, 2015I'm considering using this plugin, but have a few questions first.
Does the plugin/will it get a feature that let's you sell the item you have in your hand? Like Essentials /sell hand, that sells every item identical to the one in your hand.
Would this work alongside good old ChestShops if I disable the chest-shops feature in the config? Or do they not mix?
I'm mainly looking to use this as a replacement for my Essentials Sign Shop for the whole server.

Are you using Spigot 1.8 or an older CB build? I would also try updating to the latest dev build as shmancelot said.

Run the HyperConomy.jar on it's own to start the "Economy Editor" to edit item properties outside of the game. When the economy editor loads, select the economy you want to edit (typically "default") and choose "edit".
See the Server Shop How-To for information on limiting what items a server shop will buy and sell. See the section titled "Managing Items".

How do i manually edit the prices of an item like via yml file? I cant find items.yml.
And is it possible for my shop to only sell items i put in it? so like when i browse shop, it only shows the items which has been enabled for that shop?

What didn't work with the latest build on 1.7.9? I haven't tried everything but it seems to be working alright for me. If you have any errors I'd be glad to take a look. It's going to be easier to work with the latest code than to switch back to v974.57. The latest build has been changed dramatically since that time.
Changing the name of an item in the database can be complex. You'll have to update all references to the object in the composites table and in shop_objects table. There may be other problems with changing the name in that build as well. What are you intending to accomplish by changing the name? In general the name is just the material with the data value for the item. The display name is used for virtually everything visible to players.

After a bunch of troubleshooting, I determined that the issue was caused by my attempt to rename hieroglyph to chiseled_sandstone in the HyperConomy.db file. Thus, I believe that on v974.74 of your plugin, name changes do not work. If you would like a ticket submission and full error report I can probably do that, although how do I give you the error? Screencap?
On a side note, no edition of your plugin (beta or better) after v974.74 works with CB 1.7.9 R0.3. (Although v974.74 is perfectly fine :) ).
Also, displayname is fine, it is only database name changes that are bugged.
Keep up the great work and I will report any other bug I may find.

It should work to run the latest build. To be sure you could backup your HyperConomy folder so that you could revert to your current build if there are any problems. v974.57 was a pretty solid build.

This sounds like a complicated feature but I'll keep it in mind as a possibility for the future after I finish some things. There is currently a large backlog of feature requests.

Hi there!
I use and love your hyperconomy plugin. However, recently I have noticed a strange error whenever a player places any type of block. In the console, it reads:
Could not pass event BlockPlaceEvent to Hyperconomy v0.974.57...
I use v 974.57 of your plugin (as it says above :) ), and CB 1.7.9 R.0.3 Beta. Should I use your newest build, even though I run a 1.7.9 server? Thanks for your assistance!

Posted Feb 16, 2015I love this plugin and want to thank you for all your effort and hard work on making it as wonderful and easy to use as it is. I would like to pitch an idea to you, in the hopes that you run with it. The idea is for an integrated Stock Market system for HyperConomy, allowing players to invest in and earn money from trading stocks of server and player owned shops. Toss in some procedural randomization to fluctuate the stock values, based on shop performance, new items to be introduced, poor sales, etc. Just a thought.

Looks like essentials only has a few items and the prices seem pretty arbitrary. I would say my prices are better, but I'm sure there is much room for improvement. :) And it also largely depends on your server setup as shmancelot said.

There really is no "correct" prices. It depends on the nature of your server.
One advantage of dynamic pricing is that eventually prices will "stabalize" according to how much players buy and sell.
HyperConomy supports "composite" pricing so the price of any crafted item depends on the price of it's raw materials. For example the price of cookies is dependent on the prices of cocoa and wheat.

This is probably a stupid question, but do you feel your prices are more correct than Essentials's worth prices?
