The Hunger Bar Games Plugin
HungerBarGames is a Hunger Games plugin currently under development by tomjw64 and HaydenCappadona. Our goal for this plugin is to be the most or one of the most full and complete Hunger Games plugins available publicly.
Please remember that this plugin is still in Alpha so it will in all probability have a few bugs here and there!
If you do find a bug please create a ticket and we will fix it as soon as possible.
Our plan for this plugin is to make integration with any kind of server a possibility, and to make it easy. Whether your server is creative or survival this plugin will work like it's suppose to.
We also are trying to make arena management as simple as possible. Who wants to refill all the chests in the arena manually? Nobody, that's who. Our plugin will allow you to assign chests to classes that you can define yourself in the configuration to have them filled automatically each round. Our plugin will also handle arena reloading, giving you the option to either rollback changes on the arena or completely restart the entire world.
This plugin will be very easy to install as well. We will include pre-made chest classes and options, so that you can just drag and drop the files into your plugin folder and get started. We also will not have any dependencies!
Lastly, we plan to make everything in this plugin as configurable as possible. From chat restriction to assigning the chance an item has to spawn in a chest, you decide how your games are run!

Main Features:

The Different Ways to Use this plugin:
Arena's and World Arena's: This is the standard mode that allows you to create as many Arena's and World Arena's as you want.
OR
Dedicated Server Mode (Single Map) (Currently Not Implemented!): This Mode is used if you want to use a single map such as Official "Survival Game's" Map's. The advantages if using this mode are features such as automatic spawning spawn points on join and many, many more!

Known Bugs:
- Arena boundaries are set in all worlds, not just the arena worlds. Fixed for next release.

Posted Jun 20, 2012Im 100% sure on having it all set up as i watched your video and went step by step. As for the ppl joining i tested it with 2 ppl me and someoe else. Still nothing. Were able to join with no errors. There are no errors wehn it come to the consol. The countdown just wont start

A delay of 5 is probably your problem. A delay of 5 means everyone has to join the game within 5 seconds. xD Are you absolutely sure that you all got in the arena on time? If so, any console errors?

Posted Jun 20, 2012Hey guys love the plugin. I have everything set up. the spec spawn the lobby spawn the cuboids set the spawns set the chest classes made the chest assigned to classes everything. I type /hbg start area1 and it go great. Everyone who wants to play join and it spawns them to the lobby as it should. However no countdown starts. I have a delay of 5 and a countdown of 10 so anyway as i said no countdown starts. I made sure to set the min and max. The min is 2 the max is 24. Guys i really like your plugin as we dnt need mysql to run it please help me

Yup that's the plan.
Also, I wouldn't worry about Jazed2011 "blacklisting" your server. Judging by the ticket list(double_0 is assigned to every single one) and comments on Survival Games, you might as well call Double_0_negative the sole developer of the plugin at the moment(not saying that Jazed never helped, but that he simply isn't developing it for the time being). Personally, I think he would have to go through WAYYYYYYYY to much trouble to actually be successful in blacklisting your server.

I just checked, and that guy was the first poster on our project, but he never even made our banner/logo. jessedevries20 made our banner. So yeah, I don't think he knew what he was saying.
Plugin is coming fine. I'm getting more frustrated with the messiness of the code day by day to the point where I feel like I need to redo the arena handling(to handle a playlist kind of set-up) as well as the whole tribute and spectator handling stuff(code chunks everywhere gahhhhhh), but it's still progressing OK -ish. :P

It may be. I ran some tests games yesterday and got absolutely no errors in the console when restarting, reloading, or canceling the game. Maybe it will spring up for me eventually though.

That's strange... You have two sections for Min, Max, and Spawn as well as a section '0'. I wonder how that happened. Anyways, I've looked into the code, and the only reason why your arena would not load correctly is if your world name was changed. Does HungerGames1 still exist or was it changed?

I cannot wait for automation! If you could make a system where you setup all of the arenas and then put them in a 'playlist' where players vote on 1 of 2 next maps and can play, that would be amazing. A fully automated system with commands as simple as /join and /leave. Also, teleporting to the center of the map when there are like 3 people left would be necessary as if I am only running one game at a time I want them to go decently fast.
@Double_0_negative Double, I am currently using your plugin as I love it. However, the other day, Jazed2011 joined the server and claimed to be the creator. Me, in my ignorance, said hell no, double0negative is the creator. I thought he was trying to impersonate you (It started on a youtube comment page, so you can imagine why I thought he was just lieing). After I looked it up and realized he is an author too, I said sorry. He was pissed at this point and claimed he was going to blacklist my server from using the plugin, with his last message being 'I hope you know MD5 and Sha1 (Encryption)'. I pay for a server, and really can't afford to lose the main plugin which I use. Was he just kidding, or is he serious?"
Also, if you could make an automated single arena gamemode with cycling maps, that would be amazing too.

No, im not saying that you were involved in it an anyway (sorry if i made it sound like that :3)
It was someone named MacMeBennyZ in minecraft and he claimed that he made your banner. he was saying that my plugin copied your or something and I told him that I made mine first and all but he was like you copied it or something, and i told him that theres a ton of differences between them and stuff, idk what he was talking about haha.
PS. hows the plugin coming?

Thank you for your response=] Hope this plugin can be the best hungergame plugin=] Although the skin maybe reset, it is not a big problem. And the finally problem is that i mentioned before, can you add a function that can restore their item just like mob arena. it is useful for player who must be empty body every game=]

Those errors I posted before - theres 3 errors in total;
two of them occurred before restarting, and one as it was disabling the plugin.
I also noticed the plugin failed to save the arena after server restart, despite the configs.. and I would have to set up a new arena from scratch (marking out cuboid points, spawn points etc) every time the server reset.
could be a plugin clash?

Posted Jun 19, 2012Hey I have an idea for the plugin idk if this is possible but can u make it where certain chest classes refill at night like cornacoia so like how it was made to where middle would he refilled I would really appreciate. It if you could also I need help with the block restricting config where I can make it where u can only break leaves and mushrooms and sorry if the splling was off I'm having a lot of keyboard lag

Oh gosh... Who is it and where did they post? I'll back you up. Sorry for any trouble they may have given you. If anything you should just let them know that your plugin existed before ours did. Quote me on that if you like xD. Again, sorry for the trouble and just PM me or comment if you need me to post somewhere to set things straight.
Edit: You make it sound like I told them to do that. I hope you aren't suggesting that I did, because that would be a very false assumption.
