Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

my problem was i want to restore the land under the water so it isn't a square cliff, i don't want to replace or remove water i want to make the land under water look natural again. but right now RN only affects land above water and not under, so i need to restore it by hand, also players can grief and build under water and i can't fix it.
ALSO for people wanting players to be able to build but not access containers get a plugin like LWC, then players can lock their containers and they will only be able to be destroyed by the owner, and used by people the owner allows

Posted Oct 7, 2012I really love this plugin, I was using it for a small 20 person server but the people that come to my server must be plain illiterate, none of them understand how to use it lol, not a single one.. I tried explaining how to use it for Hours but only two or three people got it and not even then did they fully understand it..

Or the person could use a pressure plate for the doorbell, because you don't need accesstrust to use a pressure plate. That way you won't need a subdivision.

This is already possible. The _trigger (button, switch, etc.) has to be usable, not the noteblock. (I'm assuming a button-based doorbell). If buttons are public use in the claim, then a doorbell works just fine. If buttons aren't public use in the claim, a claim owner can create a 1x1 subclaim on the button, and allow public button use in the subclaim to achieve the effect they want. They'll want to make sure buttons they don't want to be public access aren't in the same vertical column, of course. :).

The world is created with mutliverse, from a world folder I imported. It's set to creative only through multiverse, no survival at all. I set the creative rules permission, but it doesn't seem to work. And yes, I would like them to claim an area first before building anywhere, this will reduce the amount of grief by forcing them to claim first.
-EDIT- This plugin needs a forum :)

Take a look a few lines up at "The To-Don't List" where it says, "Stacking claims on top of each other, for example to make some mall with multiple floors or an administrator-run hotel." :)
@Harry4of4
Take a look a few lines up at "The To-Don't List" where it says, "Adding flags to claims to prevent PvP in an area, prevent monster spawns, etc." :)

Posted Oct 7, 2012Problem with building inside claims only.
I would love to have Players to claim land before they can build. I set NoSurvivalBuildingOutsideClaims to true. That is working fine for building high. Mining is a problem as you cannot set new claims if you are underground, when you reach the borders. As soon as a Player reaches the preset depth or the borders of his claim he is stopped.
Any ideas how to enable mining and having Players to claim land first?
PS: Same with creative Rules building. Players can build above ground without any problem as they can resize their claim, but no undergroundstructures as they are limited y the borders of their claim.

Posted Oct 6, 2012Hey bigscary, I think I know what it is exactly. Fire is not spreading, but the lava sparks are igniting nearby blocks, it wasn't like that before :D, could you please check that out?

If you give players /trust access to build and destroy on your claim you also give them the ability to destroy containers, buttons, doors, (etc.) on the same claim. It makes no sense to do this. If you don't want to give players access to any containers then put the said containers in another claim somewhere else. ;)

Yes, I imagine it being very nice .. but my point is that it should be possible without using LWC or some other kind of chest locking system.
Also what do you do, if Player 1 places a protected chest outside a region, and then Player 2 comes by and places a region over it?

We have exactly what you describe on our server. In order to get this we use LWC to lock the chests :) Works like a charm! :)

Posted Oct 6, 2012Reading the description again, I don't seem to understand how this can be achieved:
"Players may grant friends access to containers, crafting blocks, and iron doors while preventing block changes..."
If this is possible somehow, I'd actually prefer to be able to do the opposite as described below :-)

Posted Oct 6, 2012What is the difference between /Trust and /ContainerTrust?
I thought /Trust didn't give access to containers but that is not the case.
It would make sense to have a "trust" node which gave permission to place/destroy blocks but not access to containers. It has been requested by quite a few users of the server. The neat thing about such a node, is that people can build together without worrying that they'll get robbed.
The optimal setup in my opinion would be:
/Trust
/AccessTrust
/BuildTrust
Maybe I am missing something .. then please enlighten me :-)
EDIT: Ops, I forgot /PermissionTrust .. that should obviously still be there.

Thanks, you were right. I thought you can give permissions for groups (ranks) But you have to assign the permission.node to the group. Now it is working.

Posted Oct 6, 2012Hi bigscary, nice work on your plugin. Definitely my favorite one on my server. For creative worlds can you add an egg spawn cool down interval? I have users in their own claim going nuts with the egg spawns. If I could set it in seconds it would discourage rapid egg spawning. I don't want to turn off egg spawning or block it, since most of my users use it legitimately.
Thanks!!!
