Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Use a block logging plugin for that, I personally love Prism. This plugin's made for prevention, not fixing up problems after.

I do kinda agree with his views. The features provided are really nice, but this should be multiple separate plugins at least. SpamPrevention as an entirely seperate plugin, then make other features make use of the GP API. GP-PvP, for all the siege etc. GP-Economy, for buying and selling claim blocks and even buying and selling claims. I'm finding I'm getting bugs from features I don't want to use (See comment below) and this would solve it for me. However, this plugin is anything but junk, I think it's the best out there, but could be better and less bloated.

Posted Jan 6, 2014Would be really nice if those PvP worldconfig options were fixed soon. I have a different plugin giving players the option to turn pvp on or off, and I don't want all the "can't kill with no inventory" when most players don't have it PvP on anyway.

Posted Jan 5, 2014I've been trying for days to enable buying claim blocks, but can't find information anywhere on how to enable that command. Adding griefprevention.buysellclaimblocks to my permissions config doesn't work.

Posted Jan 5, 2014Is there any way I can allow another person to manage my plot as well?
So he is able to increase the size with his blocks or at least something similar? It really annoys me that if friends want to use a plot together they can not share their blocks or something, they just have to have like two plots next to each other and /trust the others =/
Isn't there a simpler way for that? =)

I would argue that clean is fine, but I'd rather have optional features, toggle-able in the config.

Posted Jan 5, 2014I've had this plugin for awhile. But recently I've had bugs because of this plugins list of functions. Not only does it protect land it also has: Anti-spam, wilderness protection, rollbacks, currency exchange, and pvp guard thingy. Its all JUNK! If you want a time based land protection plugin - go else where! Its not worth the hassle! I have suggested to the programmer (Tux2) that a "Lite" version should be made that does one thing and one thing only - protect land. If you feel the same please like this and lets fight for a cleaner plugin!

When a player is banned or kicked for spamming on my server it seems to hang. Would be great if we could disable the spam filter totally.

Posted Jan 5, 2014Is there anyway to disable the spam settings in the beta release? I only want the anti-griefing and anti-mob-griefing setting, I do not want players messages to be anti-capslocked or blocked. Additionally, every time I stop or restart my server, it hang and occasionally gets permanently stuck when it gets to "Disabling GriefPrevention" and I have to close the console by force.

I'm assuming you'd need to negate the permission to create claims for that world since I'd also assume that permission to claim is true by default.

Posted Jan 4, 2014Is it possible to somehow just allow admins to create claims in a world? I would like to protect some public nether portals (that are in nether) with admin claims, but I don't want players to make claims in nether. There was no problem with previous version because if you made admin claims and later disabled making of new claims, those claims would still stay active and noone was able to make new ones.
I've tryed by setting this to true, but players can still make claims: CreationRequiresPermission: true
I don't want to use another world protection plugin for that.

I'm working on a script to migrate SQL files back to flat file, so I'll probably figure out later. I have a sneaking suspicion it's the claim removal logic doing it, although I haven't had problems with it yet. My GP is just taking so long to disable that the MC server kills itself before it finishes presumably querying the SQL server.

Well we can make claims in the end but whenever the server is restarted or I use /reload it reverts. Anything made since then simply vanishes. Be it user claim or admin.
Far as SQL servers go I'm not using one. Never have, lol. And the RN permissions still won't work -.-

Posted Jan 4, 2014Hello, is there a way to lower the amount of times the warning about building outside a claim is shown? My players have complained that it's annoying while they're building together with a friend before claiming it.
i combed the files but I couldn't find anything

Claims in the end should only require that you have claims enabled in WorldConfigs/world_the_end.yml, and if that doesn't work, you're probably having a similar issue to me where the plugin isn't handling SQL connections very well and ends up only storing claim data in memory, and fails to query the SQL server to update claim data. (At least what I'm assuming it is). If you're using GoDaddy SQL server, it's likely to be even worse (I was before switching, and it didn't work at all on GD servers, maybe due to SQL versions), as for the RN permissions, I think there are two that are needed to allow them to use it, one for the command, and another to actually use it (which I found very redundant). I'm not entirely sure what they are as the command perms aren't well documented and the normal RN perm isn't listed at all currently, assuming it's something like griefprevention.commands.restorenature, but I can't find the other listed anywhere. Good luck!

Posted Jan 4, 2014Any way to make claims work in the end? As it stands every time I make a claim, admin one or not. It vanishes whenever the server is /reload-ed or restarted. Furthermore...what's the permission for the restore nature powers?
Been trying to give my mod it but it will simply not work. I've gotten every other plugin's permissions to work no problem but this one eludes me...
