Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

I'm afraid that sounds like a mod issue. GP has been made to do what it can to register and block these actions, if a mod if bypassing the Bukkit API GriefPrevention has no control of the items.
@Drake_Eldridge
I'm thinking that actually, this could lead to players protecting other player's chests in their own claims. Also, GP would try to put it's own protections on regardless. The two plugins will still work together, but some protections could get in the way of each other. If Player A claims a chest and Player B locks the same chest, neither of them would be able to open it as there are two protections in force on it.

Posted Jan 29, 2014I am using a current dev build of GP on a MCPC+ Forge 965 server. There are blocks from some mods (and not all blocks from those mods exhibit this behavior) with blocks protected by GP that show the "You do not have permission..." message in chat when a player tries to access a protected block, but the interface/inventory opens anyway. I'm not sure if this is GP not doing something or the mods in question not throwing the correct events or not "playing well with others". Any suggestions?
TE3 is an example of one mod where some blocks work and some don't. All the conduits and ducts protect just fine, but the machines do not. I realize that this may be unable to be addressed by GP and could be a mod issue, but I figured I would ask and see if anyone else had better luck than me.

Why don't you just use gp and lwc? I think it should work fine.I use chestshop with gp and chestshop also has chest protection implemented. No conflicts so far. Just use gp for protecting land and lwc for chests.

Posted Jan 29, 2014In an attempt to fix the problem of being unable to delete claims, I tried the newest dev build #265. When I switched to the 265 jar, I was receiving an issue regarding my plugin.yml. I didn't take too much note of what the error was, and just assumed I could downgrade back to our current version, b214.
When I reverted back to b214, GP works but peoples claims blocks are being reset to the default amount of 100, and the console is erroring when running /claimslist. I should note that the claims are still there, but the claimblocks are resetting to their default value. I'm receiving an error saying:
"[GriefPrevention] Unable to save data for player __.
java.sql.SQLException: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1"
Here is a copy of my server log - http://pastebin.com/5TKMvXdJ
Here is a copy of my GP Config - http://pastebin.com/YeTBf3nG
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Posted Jan 28, 2014Hi, I play on a server when apartments buildings and multistory structures are used. We use to use LWC to keep our chests protected, but we wanted Grief Prevention to keep the base protected. But that led to a problem. We want people to build inside the claim, but not access another users chest. So they can access a chest they place, but not anyone else's. We also dont want them breaking the chests cause they can build in claim. So like LWC, but for grief preventions. would it be possible to do tht? To make a /build command, that allows them to build in claim, but that is it. And a command that lets them place their own chest but not access other chests which are in same claim. And something that protects other user's chests from being destroyed. Could this be done with your plugin in the future? We love GP and like hows it's one plugin fits all. If this cant be done, is LWC able to work with GP?
Please get bk to me.

Posted Jan 28, 2014Currently using build #220 (had to downgrade due to that claim deletion issue), so I apologize if what I'm about to request might already have been implemented in a later build: right now I can change the trust level needed to destroy a minecart, but I can not change the trust level needed to place a minecart (it's /trust so far). Is there any way to actually change the minecart placement trust level without the use of additional plugins? And/or is it possible to add appropriate permissions for that purpose to GPs world configs? Thank you very much for your time.

Posted Jan 28, 2014Is there any reason claims would not work in The End? Perhaps something to do with sea level or the naming of something correctly?
We can make claims in The End but whenever the server restarts they simply vanish. Oddly enough we're given our claim blocks back as well. I've tried deleting the World Config for The End and letting it regenerate but no luck. Even tried simply copying over my World Config to, "The End World Config" and still nothing. I've noticed that when I restarted the server while in The End, upon start-up and logging on I was back in the over-world.

Yeah, but this plugin doesn't make the region post in the first place. I'm guessing you're using PopulationDensity, go check any help sections there.
Also erik, have a look at the GP-flag plugin. I don't know if it can block commands, but I would at least request it there is it doesn't.

Also, is there way to let specific groups use claims? So people in the group "members" can all build in a members city.
