What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Mcore and Factions doesn't work! I have tried using the latest 1.7.2 build, the recommended and a few Beta. The Beta works, but then Essentials breaks. I tried Spigot, won't work. I go on the server and type /f bu tthe command doesn't exist!

Hey when i downloaded factions i didn't need to use MCORE it just works with out it for me but how do you set up the permissions?

my facctions plugin its not working! i have mcore and facction mobs and this plugin

but when i type /f the command does not exist!!

Faction mod no longer generates a faction folder in the plugins folder. Faction mod now requires the use of MCore, if you have MCore installed it will create a folder at the base of your server files called mstore.

Under mstore there will be multiple folders in it which have all faction folders labeled as "factions_(something)" inside of it, you should be able to find what you are looking for in there.

For some reason I cannot get this plugin to work on my server. I have put it in the plugins folder and everything and reloaded ~~even restarted~~ but it doesn't work. it doesn't even appear when I do /pl ... It is a 1.7.4 server run by GG Servers company. Any ideas? Thanks, and please respond soon as possible, Molly (Age 16)

Thanks for that on the folders. Do you know if you can create the factions as admin so that players cannot make their own? I have an RPG server and if we can create factions that match only the RPG races then we can use this. If everyone can create a faction then we don't want to use it.
