What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

Posted Jun 16, 2012I was wondering if you could make an option where for a changeable time, after being in combat that safezone would not be safe until a timer is up. This would prevent people running to safezones.

Posted Jun 16, 2012I found a bug. When a clan type /f sethome defines the clan's home, right?. When I restart the server no longer have it, disappears why?.

Edit: btw, try making a ticket; as I understand it you want only specific users to not lose power, while all others to do lose...

I installed the plugin, It works fine until people who aren't ops try to claim land. unfortunately this is the only reason i wanted this plugin. SO IM FRUSTRATED! Anyways, i gave the node DIRECTLY to myself "factions.kit.fullplayer" The problem still persists :(.... Plz help me!!!!!

The (no of power) would be added to the power that the (user) previously had.

Thank you very much! Now is perfect.
Now I have another problem that took several hours trying to solve and not get it. In the configuration, where it says:
"territoryEnemyDenyBuild": false
It is assumed that well any other enemy faction, you can build / destroy in the area, well it is not. I think an enemy faction and a faction (a friend of mine) can not build or destroy in the area. What should I set so you can build / destroy enemy factions?.

I have tried many different things, but it just keeps resetting to 0 any idea?

Posted Jun 14, 2012Hey, We are trying to have a Hunger Games game, on a different world folder then the main one. Can I disable faction in that world? I saw something about it in the user guide. But didn't see anything about disabling peaceful factions. Because at the moment that is the main issue.

Posted Jun 14, 2012Hello I am new to this plugin and this delighted me!. I had a doubt that when I try to use the command "/ f claim" I get this error:
clan1 can't afford 100.00 Dollars to claim this land
I am the server administrator and I have much more money, do not know why not let me buy a zone. If I set it to 0 if the money I can. When creating a faction if it collects money properly. What can go wrong?

Posted Jun 13, 2012Hi I've got one problem.. With factions 1.6.8 one cheater was able to enter and leave factions without invite so I've update to 1.7.5 beta yesterday and that was fixed.. But the big problem now is: - Wilderness is considered like a faction ( with power, lands, ecc ) and if a player try to hurt other player without any faction in wilderness they can't and appears the message " you can't hurt members in your faction " How can I fix it ? I've use bukkit 1.2.5 R4.0

I have disabled the option for "description/tag change" for normal players.
I have a little nag *not much of an problem* but would like to get rid of it.
when you create a faction it then says something like "now try /f desc" to change description. I cant seem to find where that message is.

Posted Jun 12, 2012OK, thank your for the help @BONNe1704. Here is the problem I am having now. I now know how to disable power loss in a warzone. I also know how to allow or deny building in a warzone. But I cannot figure out to do the following: I would like to have one warzone where building is allowed, and another where it is not. I tried to make this happen using a worldguard region to deny building in one warzone, but it seems that the Factions allowing of building overrides the worldguard denial. I do have "worldGuardChecking" set to true.
I need both areas to be warzones to maintain the disabling of power loss.
Does anyone have an idea how to do this?
