What is Factions?

With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.

Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.

Install

Stop your server.
Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
Start your server again.
Configure (Optional)

New In Factions 2.8

Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
Performance - Further work on improved performance.
Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

lag spikes every 20-40 seconds...random freezes...low RAM also.

We all wish that ;) Never happens. I think the faction developers don't know how to implent mysql support :PPP I think that's the main reason it isnt there

Factions is doing some wonky stuff with 1.3.1, here is my server.log report. I hope it helps you guys make better the newer version of factions that I assume is coming at a later date.

So, I just read that the peaceful option has been removed. Can we get this confirmed? As it stands, I will not use the plugin without it. We have a nice balance between people that want PvP and people that don't and I don't want to screw over either group. I would hate to move back to towny which completely limits raiding, but I'd rather protect those who do not wish to take part in pvp than those who do.

Can someone please help me with this. So when I installed the 1.7.5 (1.3 version) , I went through and deleted all of the .conf's for factions. Then when I reloaded my server to generate new files, all the chat formatting went away, like herochat just stopped working it looks like. The bpermissions meta tags will not apply either.

Look at SetChatFormatTo: in conf.json, for me there were random characters (You know, these encoding fails, looks arabic :D )
