I use HeroChat and bPermissions and using the new 1.6.9 factions does not work for me anymore. I get no errors. But there is no chatting format anymore and the only time there is while using 1.6.9 is when some one is in a faction and it still is not the same as while using 1.6.8 and how I want it to look. I use PvP Titles, PermissionsEx, Essentials and Factions on my Server

I'm using the beta version of factions and got a few questions.

First of all we are using our own chat plugin custom coded and /f c and commands like that don't work. I tried install a suported chat plugin and then when loading the plugin it show that it hooked in to that plugin and then everything works fine. Is there any api documentation so we can make our own chat plugin work with faction chat and tags? Or couldn't you use vault for chat events instead of supporting xx plugins?

And second before there was options so you could make it so like tnt don't explode in offline factions and does in online factions and delay when factions are counted as online. But with the new version this seems to be completely removed while it's really useful and needed for our setup.

And is there any way possible to separate TNT and Creeper explosions? I want players be able to use TNT but not creepers in the old config this could easy be done but now not anymore i think.

And when factionless players attack each other it say dammage reduced but they aren't in any faction? That should be like before that it's only for enemy factions.

And is there a command to undo setting access? Like i did /f access player worstboy32 but got no idea how to remove it again.

And would it be possible if you have set so you can't claim in wg regions that if you have /f admin enabled that you can bypass that check and claim it? It's annoying to change the config reload claim some safe/war zone and then change it again and reload again.

Factions doesn't insert world names into chat.

You look to have player data which is screwed up in players.json, specifically a player who has no role in their faction defined. Has somebody been manually editing that file on your server?

And with that, I don't have any more time to spend troubleshooting general problems people have.

Your log says you're using 1.7.6, not 1.6.9 like you just told me. That's a good example of logs being useful. For 1.7.x the chat tag replacements are different, not just "[FACTION]". Read changelog here for details:

Those tags do work with EssentialsChat; that's one of the things I tested and confirmed working.

Not sure, I haven't checked Vault. It's possible they've changed something which requires an update on our side.

Again, that would be a good example of needing more information; "chatTagReplaceString" is only used in 1.6.9, as chat handling was completely reworked in 1.7.5 and above. "chatTagReplaceString" in 1.6.9 definitely works with EssentialsChat as that's one of the things I tested. Again though, I can't speak for any other chat plugins.

I believe he has the same issue as me The "chatTagReplaceString" is not working and no error is given.

All faction banks are stuck at -1 balance even when somebody deposits money it stays at -1 Im using Factions 1.6.9 Vault 1.2.17 Econxp 0.5.0 (its supported by vault) Any ideas on how to fix this?

What chat plugin are you using? What version of Factions? Is there an error message? What is "messed up" about it exactly? You've provided no useful information at all.

So far people seem to be having problems with HeroChat and with a chat plugin which comes with PermissionsEx.
