What is Factions?
With this plugin players group up in Factions. You claim land as your own and build your base. Factions is a self serve anti griefing system. Leaders control who can can edit their faction land.
Factions is also about diplomacy and war. You declare wars and forge alliances. You fight over land and manage your monetary expenses.
Install
- Stop your server.
- Put MassiveCore.jar in your plugins folder. Download MassiveCore here on BukkitDev.
- Put Factions.jar in your plugins folder.
- Start your server again.
- Configure (Optional)
New In Factions 2.8
- Reworked Commands - /f rank, /f invite, /f flag and /f perm.
- Added Commands - /f setpower, /f status, /f unstuck and /f tt.
- WorldGuard - Readded a simple integration.
- Tab Completion - Tab completion now available for everything!
- Interactive Text - Clickable buttons for list and help commands.
- 1.8 Titles - Optionally used for territory info.
- Animals Flag - New flag similar to the Monsters flag.
- Performance - Further work on improved performance.
- Bug Fixes - Loads of minor bugs were fixed.

It is a stable build that works perfectly. Reading the server owner documentation might help you set it up right, and make the switch from 1.8.2 smooth. If you can't even create a faction you either 1. Didn't do what is says to do in the documentation or 2. Didn't give the right permissions.
I do agree that I liked 1.8.2 a hundred times more, but they seem to be sticking with this 2.0 build, so we all just have to settle with it.

Posted Jul 3, 2013Factions 2.0 is a big disappointment. I downgraded to 1.8.2, and I'm sticking with it until you make a stable build. I can't even create a faction! How could you not notice these problems before releasing. Please work on this, I need to upgrade to 1.6 soon.

Posted Jul 3, 2013okay my factions is working.. but now i got a problem..
i work with iconomy and when i use /money top to see the top 5 richest people/accounts
i see a faction in that list but not the normal name for the faction like Test but it shows me this
78b5f15e-32ae-498a-8510-aa188d11c4f9 - in this case this long code stands for warzone.. but the same kind of code is also shown if i create a faction
i want the faction to show its normal in name in /money top and not some code wich stands for the faction name.

Posted Jul 3, 2013I've made the update 1.8.2 to 2.0.2 with MCore where is the new config file for the plugin ? The old is now broken and the new is without any settings. And i can't create new Factions i'm only in the Default Faction. Other question: which tag should I use for the EssentialsChat (FactionTag)? But the important thing is only the config file where can i find it?

Posted Jul 3, 2013I finally fixed it because I had to update java in a wierd way, anyway.
I haven't got any errors after that (mcore is working) and for factions:
15:59:50 [INFO] [Factions 2.0.2] === ENABLE START ===
15:59:50 [INFO] [Factions 2.0.2 === ENABLE COMPLETE (Took 114ms) ===
But it still doesn't work!
