DragonTravel
It offers server-admins the possibility to add a new outstanding way of travel to their servers.
More videos on DragonTravel (including tutorials)
Features:
- Allows admins to set destinations for the dragons.
- Allows players with the specific permission to summon and mount a dragon and...
...fly flights which consists out of waypoints(as many as you like)
...fly to destinations which have been set by an admin before.
...fly to coordinates chosen via command.
...fly to players choosen via command(different permission-nodes for other types of travel).
...fly to your faction's home-position (Factions required)
...fly to your town's spawn (Towny required)
...fly to a home-position which has been set by this player earlier. - Allows admins to set stations and limit the mounting of dragons to these locations (or a specified radius around it).
- Possibility to require a special item for players to use the plugin (e.g. a dragon-egg)
- Making signs which automatically mount a player and bring them to the written destination on the sign.
- Permissions-Support
- Support of all Economy-Plugins supported by Vault (Vault is required for that)!
Admins can set different prices for all ways of travel! - Admins can choose in the config whether dragons of this plugin should destroy blocks or if any dragons should break blocks when touching.
- All messages are fully customizable! Default messages.yml is English, but we provide German and French language files as well.
Due to the fact that things can change rapidly in this project, I stopped maintaining instructions on the plugin and other information like a list of commands/permissions in the forums, on this page etc. and decided to create a central location where you can always find all information up-to-date: The DragonTravel-Wiki.
Please use this wiki and report all mistakes you find in there and avoid posting questions on topics like commands/permissions/sign-creation etc., which are answered in the wiki, in the comments.
The questions and requests posted in the comments are repeating and there are some questions we answer at least once per week, so we decided to write down some of those Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read the questions below and see if you can find your question there, this really saves us time we can then spend on the development of DragonTravel.
- Is it possible to change the speed the dragon's wings are flapping?
- Is it possible to remove the dragon's health-bar?
- Is it possible to control the dragon manually?
- Is it possible to move the rider closer to the dragon to avoid him flying above it?
- DragonTravel does not start, what can be the problem?
You can find the answers to those questions in the FAQ!
Please read the paragraph above before posting any questions!

Posted Dec 12, 2012The plugin is not abandoned. I just won't update it anymore or working on it. If you want to have the source, you can grap the latest snapshot here: http://goo.gl/J4oNn
Note that the version of that ZIP is a special one, which will not break between updates through to that new commit, but it causes DragonTravel to depend on BKCommonLib.
Do not create any other dev/project-pages as this, speak with Phiwa for uploading/pushing updates, and absolutly make sure to provide the code to the public(best way would be with a GitHub repo).
I am very thankful for all server administrators using DragonTravel. I've learned alot with this project, unfortunately I can't handle the stupidy of the Bukkit-team and their decisions.

Posted Dec 12, 2012This was one of my first ever Bukkit plugins, I still use it, and I really hate to see it abandoned. Couldn't you hand this over to another developer?

Posted Dec 12, 2012With this message, I quit developing of Bukkit plugins including DragonTravel. Bukkit envolved into a project of selfish und uncommunicative staff. I will no longer develope under this circumstances. The Bukkit team messed too much with us developers. If you want to know why I came to the decision to leave, you are kindly requested to read this commit: https://github.com/Bukkit/CraftBukkit/commit/8f12382e8efc8c39a919af9180dd884caf3720ff
I am sorry for this but it isn't something to enjoy anymore.
Thanks for reading.

Posted Dec 8, 2012This is a very important message to all server administrators and developers.
Please read this commit in the newest Craftbukkit builds: https://github.com/Bukkit/CraftBukkit/commit/8f12382e8efc8c39a919af9180dd884caf3720ff
Craftbukkit will force over 600 plugins to break on every Minecraft version update, even if there is no reason for it but that commit. Please create a GitHub account and tell the Bukkit-team to revert this commit.
If that commit is not reverted, several very important plugins will break in a extremly annoying fashion for us developers and server administrators as we are FORCED to update the plugins on every version change, even if the update does not require the plugin to update codewise! Don't let this happen, it will cause your server to even have more downtime or transition time until to newer versions of Minecraft, since a lot of plugins won't be updated right in time.
Convience the Bukkit-team please, otherwhise we developers and you administrators will have alot of problems and alot might leave Bukkit plugin-developement.
Thanks for reading!

Normally GM should work as well, it supports SuperPerms just like PEX and bPermissions do, but if it does not work, you don't have GM set up with the DT-permissions correctly.

I'm using GroupManager as it is 100 times better than PEX or bPerms (IMO obviously). I have not tried that perm as I had not seen it in the list, will try tonight after finals.

I am not sure what Permissions plugin you are using. However, use bPermissions or PermissionsEx and then it is fine. If it is not, then you have setup your permissions wrongly.

Normally that should work, did you already try to use dt.user which should definitely work? Otherwise there might be a different problem. Which permissions-plugin do you use?

Posted Dec 6, 2012Would you mind telling me what the permission is for my other players to be able to only use the signs (or actually use the dragons at ALL)? I added dt.flightsigns.use dt.mount dt.travel etc. to ALL of my classes and even then no one but OPs can use the dragons in any way, shape, or form.

Take a look at our wiki. In the config.yml-Section you'll find the options you need to edit to enable economy for DragonTravel. :)
@EpicTrance
I don't think they will do it, even though it could help some people.

I'm not sure about it. The XemDragon entitie is a pretty cool entitie and can be used for many plugins. A stationary dragon is pretty cool on my end. Of course if you are willing to do that.

This would be one possibility, but they won't do that for one plugin... ;)

Posted Nov 28, 2012So basically bukkit needs to add the XemDragon entitie to the code for this not to happen?
