I like the idea of being able to see someone who may be xray mining, but I get tired of seeing all the coal and iron mining going on all the time. What about the idea of hiding all the common stuff until someone mines a diamond or emerald (trigger ore), then once they do, it triggers it to show you everything they mine for 5 minutes (would be nice to config the time as well) then after they go the amount of time without getting another "trigger ore", it goes back to hiding the common stuff. 

Nobody really xrays for coal and iron, so I don't think I need to see that all the time, but then when they hit something rare, enabling it to see if the commons would let you see if they are only getting rare stuff or going after everything as would be expected from normal mining.
