CommunityBridge
Updates are at our Spigot page.

Community Bridge links up your Minecraft player accounts to their corresponding website/forum/CMS accounts. It uses the web application's groups to assign players to permissions groups and stores various bits of information about the player in the forum's database.
Please use the issue system to submit bug reports, feature/enhancement requests and support requests.
UUIDs Most of the programming is done. Lots and lots and lots of testing to do, however.
If you'd like to help localize (translate) CommunityBridge's messages, go here: Crowd-in Project for CommunityBridge

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- Which permissions plugin is in use.
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true. It can be turned off specifically for CommunityBridge in CommunityBridge's config.yml. Before turning it off, please read my explanation of why you should leave it turned on: Why Plugin Metrics?
Please use the issue system to submit bug reports, feature/enhancement requests and support requests.

Posted Feb 8, 2013Here is what Weebly sent back:
Hi Noah,
You can edit your site with HTML, CSS, and Javascript; however, Weebly does not support building your site with server side languages, such as PHP or ASP. We also do not currently offer database access. This is not likely to change in the near future.
Weebly does not currently have an option that would allow you to enable user registration or member logins on your site. We appreciate your patience as we continue to develop our service.
Some people choose to use password protected pages. To hide your website content from the public, check out the password protection feature: Using Password Protection
Note that password protection is part of Weebly's Pro upgrade
But this is likely much more basic than the user registration that you're asking about.
Thanks for your support!
Ken

Posted Feb 7, 2013@Moira13: I'm not sure I understand your question. To configure the database you will need the mysql server's address, the mysql username and password, and the name of the database that your application stores data in. You'll need to get this information from your web/mysql hosting provider if you do not know what it is.
@Melekaiah: Joomla (and Wordpress) are what prompted the need for 2.x. I started out coming up with a revised config.yml that would handle joomla, wordpress, and apps with similar schemas, keeping the config.yml understandable...and discovered that to get there, I had to rewrite most of the plugin, which is still underway. To some degree, you may be able get around the limitation with Joomla by using custom profile fields that take the place of the fields that CommunityBridge expects a CMS to have.
@WizardCM: Wordpress presents some special considerations. First, Wordpress natively doesn't have a real notion of groups. Which is the main problem preventing it from being compatible with CommunityBridge 1.x. In 1.x, the "player linking" feature is deeply entwined with the group-synchronization feature. To clearly separate the two features required rewriting a great deal of the code and still in progress. That version of CommunityBridge I've taken up calling 2.x.
It may be possible to use a Wordpress plugin that adds "custom profile fields", such as CIMY Extra Fields (that's not the only plugin that provides custom profile fields, just the only one I can think of off the top of my head). With it, you could create a the fields that CommunityBridge will need to work. At minimum, CommunityBridge 1.x will need:
Regardless of version (1.x or 2.x), the following features will require a wordpress plugin that provides custom profile fields. Wordpress simply doesn't have enough of a feature set without plugins.
@MCCharlieCraft: Ugh. Go ahead and create a support ticket and include your config.yml (with the database connection info wiped out/redacted). Meanwhile, I'll take a look at the code and make sure I didn't miss something obvious. :)
@monkeymanboyperson: The answer is essentially the same as the one I gave GeekyCreeper about weebly.com: Your questions probably need to be directed to webs.com's support. You may not know what questions to ask them, so here's some suggested questions:
If you already know the answers to those questions, then you'll need to follow up with specific questions about the web-application (forum, CMS, etc.) that you'll be using.

Posted Feb 2, 2013Here is my email. I marked it as urgent. Do you think this needs anything else?
I am trying to use this website in conjunction with my Minecraft server. I am wanting to set up a way to give visitors and users of the website an ability to set up accounts on my website. I am wondering if I am able to add a MySQL-based forum or content management system (CMS) or some other app that includes user accounts and groups? I am also wondering if I am able to allow access to the forum/CMS/app's MySQL database from an external site/machine? Finally, does the forum/CMS/app have a mechanism for adding custom user profile fields?

Thanks so very much! I'll contact them right away!
I'm typing up a formal email to Weebly as I type. I will post it before I submit it, to see if it is good enough.

Posted Feb 2, 2013I want to use this with my new server that I'm currently working on. My website is managed through Weebly.com, and it doesn't have an account system. Our goal is to make it the most advanced Minecraft server EVER using Bukkit, but I am not sure if I can use this. Is Weebly compatable? It supports HTML and custom widgets, but how would i need to set up an account system? If you would like to look at my site, go here!
Thank you!

Posted Jan 24, 2013Past week and half I've been very busy and unable to respond to support requests or work on 2.x. Between work and caring for a family member who pulled/strained/something a muscle in their back (they could barely move the first couple of days!), I've had no time...I'll be trying to catch up over the next few days...:)
Some replies to folks: @Chaett: Initially, I didn't feel comfortable having a donate button because the work is not wholly mine; I took over a project from NoRC (whom, I believe, took it over from someone else). However, at this point, I feel I've invested enough hours into it that if someone wishes to donate, they can. So I've added a donate button to this project page.
@Pythros: You want the player to have connected to the server at least once before being able to register on the website? Currently, no. I think that would require a plugin for _Xenforo_ in addition to a plugin on the Minecraft Server side. I won't write a plugin for the web-application side, but if someone does, I could be convinced to add the feature to CB for the Minecraft Server side of it.
@dscm: I'll add pinoycraft.net to the list.

Posted Jan 11, 2013@Maddis1337: Hmm. How tedious. I guess I should go through and check them. :)
@DavMicrofix: When v2.0 releases. I don't have a clear sense of when that will be yet. To provide clean support for Joomla, Wordpress, and "MC to Forum" sync, the I've had completely revise the configuration. Take at look at the forums for more details.
