@Jong1
Yep. The permissions checking for the groups is mainly a legacy feature
@bk871
Do they all disappear in one world? If so, is this load a default world or loaded by a plugin?

http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/command-signs/tickets/38-super-perms-doesnt-support-group-checks/
@Tealk123
I changed around the update backend a bit. I'll try to fix this for the next version.
@bk871
Can you switch back to the backup you made and use the old version for now? I have to look at saving some more.
@bk871
Looks like iConomy. I'll move the economy checks to the main thread and see if that helps.
@CosmicVoyager
Permissions are set in permissions.yml in your server root. Here, you can make a commandsigns.permission node and put children: in there, then in there put your permissions in PermissionsBukkit syntax.

Sorry about the long time without answering. I'm been taking a little break form CS, but am getting back on it again. I'm almost out of school, so that will give me a lot more time, too. For those trying out the YML builds, here's another snapshot of my current work. This might fix some of the saving issues related to multi-world.

Sorry zdb will have to answer. As I said, I don't use it and haven't looked at that bit of code. But is there a reason why you cannot use /^. In many cases that is an easier alternative.

Hey. I have all permissions, and nothing happens when I click the sign. I am wondering if you have to set what exactly the extended permissions used by /* are somehow.

Posted May 22, 2012@bk871,
I'm not involved at all in writing this plugin - it is all zdb's work - just a user who has spent a bit of time looking at the code. :)
I may be wrong, but looking at those errors it looks to me like iConomy is the problem, not CommandSigns.

Posted May 22, 2012Read the permissions page. I don't use this myself - I just use /^ - but it says you give "commandsigns.use.super" to any user/group you want to be able to use /*

I do not understand this. Where is the 'CommandSigns.permissions' node?
I want players to be able to use signs with commands they do not have permission for.
Nothing happens when I click a sign with "/*warp" and the warp name.

Another issue, not sure if this is what's been causing money resets for some of our players. :) Cheers.
I know you've worked hard and as soon as we've got a stable source of donations I will not hesitate to contribute what I can.

Posted May 21, 2012For the first I think you have to wait until zdb allow you to use ! before commands. Then you can hide the normal message and display your own.
I dont believe your second request is possible.

if you use /^weather storm is it possible to change the name in the chat?
is it possible to set up
is there a way to configure commandlines in a way, that if the cooldown from line1 is over only commandline2 follows and if it is not over yet it skips commandline2 and uses commandline3 instead
eg:
/commandsigns line1 ~seconds
/commandsigns line2 bla
/commandsigns line1 not~seconds
/commandsigns line3 notbla

Posted May 20, 2012Probably because redstone triggered commands do not have an associated player. You could try /^weather storm. /^time day works here.

Posted May 20, 2012Hmm! Upload your dat somewhere if you like and I'll see if I can spot anything strange. Because I am using the official 1.7.3 intensively, with not particularly basic signs, and no problems, provided, as I said, I always remember to manually save the file every time I add a sign.
But I really do get what you are saying. Hopefully we will get a new improved yml build soon and if you prefer waiting for that I understand.

The last official version was worse than the YML build :) At least with this one it's always the same stuff resetting, so I can easily replace the file. I appreciate everything zdb does, believe me, however recreating all those signs would be a nightmare.

Posted May 19, 2012@bk871,
I know you really want a response from zdb, I understand, but why not just revert to the last official version? Zdb DID say the yml version was an experimental beta and not to be relyed on. OK maybe you've made a few signs since you changed, but can recreating those be as painful as the probs you are having now?

Posted May 19, 2012This is still a major issue, and I'm loosing players over it :/ Any ideas/updates/help?
Please see my other comments prior to this for more info.
/cmds save outputs this and nerfs the file size from 55,000~ to 17,000.
