Command Signs
Make signs run commands!
CommandSigns allows you to assign any commands to any block making it easier for your players to do their command-based business!
Required Dependency
- Vault is required for CommandSigns. You can get it here: Vault
Features
- Run commands from signs or any other block with a single click
- Signs can have any other text on them, the commands are linked to the sign behind the scenes
- Elevate user permissions to run any command you choose
- Restrict who can use the sign and when
- Activate your CommandSigns with redstone
How To Use
- Place a sign (or block) and add any writing you want
- Add lines to your clipboard with /commandsigns line<number> <\text or /command>
- Right click the block to make it a CommandSign

Auto Updating
CommandSigns automatically checks for updates in order to keep your server up to date with the latest bug fixes! You can set CommandSigns to update completely automatically in config.yml, or to manually update, type /commandsigns update.

Check your server log. You'll probably find that you need Vault installed too for it to work.

Posted Jan 31, 2013This doesnt seem to work with mobarena or paintball correct You will get warped to the arena but it doesnt let you join the lobby.
Anyone has this problem too or knows a selution?

I had to rollback to v1.8.4 to get the @crafter only command sign to work again.
Starting from v1.8.8 the @crafter stops working.

You're put all your stuff on one line, that's why. Also, you're not elevating permissions, so your users would have to have the permission to use that command normally.

That is odd then... Try removing the commandsigns.groups.* permission node as it shouldn't really be needed.

Posted Jan 30, 2013also an additional note im trying to allow people to buy ranks with in game money and i have this typed: /commandsigns line1 $1000 /manpromote <name> noob the sign gets the commandsing enable but when anyone clicks on it it does nothing, no error message or commandsigns message it does nothing Please help :)

The players that hit the @crafter sign are in the crafter group. They are not in any other group, just crafter. The crafter group inherits from the default group but that shouldn't matter. Right?

From 1.8 to 1.9, the policy on groups changed. Now, you actually need to be in the group described. Before, if you even inherited that group, it would report a false positive.
I'm guessing you inherit the group you're searching for; can you try adding that group to users?
If not, don't worry, CommandIt - the next plugin - will offer a way of toggling whether inheritance is accepted.

Posted Jan 29, 2013I updated from v1.8.? to v1.9.0.1. Now signs that have @group perms are not working. I keep getting "This sign isn't allowed to socialise with people like you." I have both commandsigns.use.* and commandsigns.group.* set for the crafter group in perms. Here is a sign that no longer works:
1: @crafter 2: 10800 3: /^dailylottery
Can somebody help me figure out what's stopping this sign from working?

Please make a ticket with your server log when you do the following:
