Coins

Table of Contents

Coins is a bonus system for players.

The admin can give Coins for donations or for excellent services. You can connect multiple server with a MySQL database or local SQLite.
Coins is only the core-plugin for organise Coins. For features like own commands look at the addon section.

Commands & Permissions

prefix command: /c, /cc, /cs, /coins
permission groups: coins.admin (all commands), coins.client (money, moneyOther, convert)

FAQ

I get this error "Unsupported major.minor version 52.0" what going wrong?: You use Java 7. Please update your Java to Java 8 and this error is fixed!
Here is an massiv error in my log. What now?: Copy the hole log to pastebin.com and post it in the comment section!

well usually when other plugins have scoreboard it would be just placed underneath or above the one from other plugins. ill look into it because turning it false should allow you to use your own plugin to make it false

Hi jithins, I wonder if it would be possible to remove the scoreboard (just for me) because the scoreboard your plugin, even on "False" prevents me from putting my own scoreboard a plugin I coded. If this would be possible, thank you in advance. Regards, 1visible.

Hi shukari90, your plugin is really good and helped me in my server. I translated your plugin in French, you can see it, it doesn't have any language errors ;p ! Maybe you can add, in the future, ways to gain coins when a player kill another player or a mob (...), double coins for VIPs, multiple currencies, and an API (these are only suggestions). This is a ticket comment (in the future post it here)..
But i never see this problem before... i think the problem is your server or the database... i need also the hole log not only the half error... please donwload the last plugin version, delete the /plugin/coins folder and try it again...

Yes the config and if important changes are there also the messagefile or the commandsfile but it save the old file as messagefile.yml.old so you lose nothing... but it is important that i update some files because a config node must delete or something like that....

The Console Update is in Beta State and i only wait for ideas and bugs from my tester "Darthmineboy". But i suppose tomorrow!

Just curious, when you have the auto-update feature enabled will it overwrite the the current config settings and CustomCommands? I obviously don't want this to happen at any point in time, so I'm wary about enabling it. Thanks! :)

Also, is there an ETA on the Console Update? Thanks!

The player do you want to manged is not in the database... the player must join first... on your first join he will add to the database

I have a bit of a nooby question, I downloaded this plugin/installed it / its working on my server perfectly, the issue I have is I can not set myself to be able to manage the coins, like /c add etc, it gives the message"The Player is not register in coin plugin" how do I fix this?

Here is the Link to the hotfixed version of 1.3.5 coming out in 1-2 days. Darthmineboy and me searching for more errors.

Changelog:

fixed arguments at 'cost' and 'live'
fixed the /c list if cost has an argument it appears CUSTOM
fixed the convert command (it only allows Money to Coins), in the next version it will deleted complete, here example code for the alternative:

withdraw: enabled: true parameterNeed: 1 cost: '%1%' command: 'eco give %player% %1%0' output: 'You have withdrawn %1% Coins and received %1%0 Dollars!'

fixed scoreboard spam now really catched (i havent this problem o.O)
fixed messagefile fails

Is there any way of downloading this new build early? I fully understand that there may be bugs. :)

EDIT: Also, you could also already give potion effects to players by using the "/effect" command. Just pointing that out!

The next update is the "Console update" ;D everything is then possible with the console ;D

Status of the Build: Development and Test

New features in the next build:

changed "cost" and "live" value to STRING, 0 -> '0'
fixed "cost" and "live" now you can use '%1%' args at both
fixed all commands (except convert) to console access
fixed negative balance with "c set" and "c add"
add a console command "c console [PLAYER] [CUSTOMCOMMAND] (ARGS)"
now you can also use "ID:AMOUNT:DATA" for example ten yellow wool is "35:10:4" (but also you can use ID:AMOUNT)
catched some errors

ToDo

use UUID instead of the playername (in 1.7.9 you can choose other names)
Pointion effects - need more time
add item data - resolved

Can you please make it so that the "/c add" command can be carried out through the console? I want to make the coins available in special donation packages, but if that can't be run through the console, then how am I supposed to automate it? Thanks in advance!

Also, is there a way to make ChestShop or Essentials Signs use Coins as an accepted currency? So I could have shops that ONLY accept Coins?

I meant the item, however being able to give custom potion effects, such as nausea or jump boosts, would be great too!

I would really love to see it as a command. I currently experience big lags with a global economy ( Over multiple servers ) and I plan on just going back to a local economy and then use this plugin to have a global economy and then people can convert local economy $ into the global economy and use that to transfer the money around my servers. By any chance that you could release a development build for the command today or tomorrow so that I can start changing my economy setup?
