Description
Tired of adding people to your yaml files? So was I, so I created this little plugin.
It provides a basic class system based on ranks, i.e. you have multiple classes that are divided into ranks.
You can allow players to rank themselves up/down or just keep that for yourself, the admins, or another plugin e.g. CommandSigns.
Features
- Add users to classes
- Rank them up/down inside a Class tree
- Enter partial username - works for online users!
- Allow players to rank up/down themselves (or even others)
- Take fee for rankup
- Customize class display colors
- Customize playername and world color in messages
- Customize classes and ranks by ops
Options
- Display class changes in public
- Rank in multiple worlds (use all as world)
- Require items (reagents) for ranking (since v0.1.3.3)
- Require experience for ranking (since v0.2.0)

well I split my permissions for mcMMO. By default, noone may use no ability and no skill. Warriors get axes, unarmed, swords ; check the permissions list :) Mages get acrobatics... mhh..
Yeah and then we have several Plugins to buff the other classes, MagicSpells for the Mages, and self made plugins for the Traders who will rule the money once we have enough players :)

please explain more about this, mcmmo. and i have a lot of crap with configuring my plugins, so i want to know if this is worth it??? and what will it do if i have this configured with class ranks, ohh and how would i get mc mmo for 1.2.3? because i cant seem to find it

hehe I use a mixture of mcMMO and many other plugins. So warriors have the axe/swords/unarmed skill, rangers have the bow spell and so on. There are special plugins for every class :)

hey its ok about the prefix, because i am using group manager, and i can now set certain permissions for each class, mainly the last class will be able to rank others up, but there will be benifits for being ranked up for each rank, i was hoping you could give me some suggestions, i have 4 classes, soldier, miner, worker, and the class wizard only is obtainable if you are done with you training with the other class you chose, for you need to be a moderator because wizard has some bad things you can do.

Posted Mar 19, 2012I know it's probably in my configuration but when I do /rankup it says "[SEVERE] [ClassRanks] Account not found: PlayerName" in the console. In-game it doesn't show anything.
If I use admin command and do "/class rankup PlayerName world" it ranks me and once i'm a higher rank I can do /rankdown, but when I try to use /rankup it says "[SEVERE] [ClassRanks] Account not found: PlayerName"

yes i use vault, i am useing Dynamic economy, i had one error, it wasnt big it sayed," money is not set," and when i checked it out in the config, it was there, this all worked before i installed echat suite

Yeah, someone asked that. ClassRanks does not yet support prefixes.
Okay some questions about your issue
- do you use Vault?
- which eConomy Plugin do you use?
- are you having errors in your console when trying to do that?

well it wont do prefixes on the class, and i tried to rank myself up, but it said i didnt have enough money to rank up, for the first class it takes 10USD to rank up, and i had around half a million.

i already had vault, and i updated class ranks, but the chat doesnt work, what do i do? i also tried deleting my class, then choosing it, and now it says i dont have enough money, and when i did /money, since i am the owner of the server, i had half a million dollars!

nice suggestion! it even has a customizable censor for bad words like dick. NOW WHEN SOMEONE CALLS SOMEONE A DICK, it changes to LARGE PENIS!!! lol
