Chimneys SMP
Chimneys is a plugin, which allows you to create chimneys on your houses. It uses minecraft's particle effect, so you don't need any client mods!

IMPORTANT!
Chimneys 0.5.1 is the last version of Chimneys. I'll make another plugin, which will be fully compatible with Chimneys. It's going to support all particles and other cool features like chimneys that follow you or other entities, annoying door sounds and more to come!

Commands
- /chimney - Displays help for the plugin
- /chimney [tgt | std] - Creates a chimney on block you're standing on(std) or on block you're aiming on(tgt).
- /chimney [tgt | std] [rs] - Creates a lever controlled chimney(rs) on block you're standing on(std) or on block you're aiming on(tgt).
- /chimney wand - Toggles you usage of chimney wand.
Configuration
Configuration file can be found in <server_folder>/plugins/Chimneys/config.yml
Configuration nodes
- chimney.smokes - Smoke count
- chimney.frequency - Frequency of smokes. Higher = more frequent smokes
- chimney.radius - Minimal distance to see the chimney
- chimney.wand - Item, which should be used as wand(default = stick). Expected value is either an item/block ID or its name in bukkit system(one of these: (see this paste)).
- perms - Permission system to use. 3 options: OP,None,SP
- block-blacklist - IDs of blocks, which chimneys can't be created on
Permissions
- chimneys.create - Allows you to create chimneys using command
- chimneys.create.wand - Allows you to create chimneys using wand
Installation
Just download Chimneys.jar and copy it into your plugins folder. It's that simple!
Factions!
I've recently added some compatibility with Factions. Some of you may be wondering, whether it needs any additional configuration, so here I say it DOESN'T NEED ANY ADDITIONAL CONFIGURATION to get it working. Once Chimneys detect Factions, players can only create chimneys in regions, which Factions allow them.
Removing chimneys
To remove a chimney, you need to mine block the chimney is created on( that's the block smoke is coming from :) )

I've already been asked this question before. Particles that can be implemented are: 1000: random.click 1001: random.click 1002: random.bow 1003: random.door_open & random.door_close 1004: random.fizz 1005: Play a music disc. Data: Record ID (1006 not assigned) 1007: mob.ghast.charge 1008: mob.ghast.fireball (1009 not assigned) 1010: mob.zombie.wood 1011: mob.zombie.metal 1012: mob.zombie.woodbreak 2000: Spawns 10 smoke particles, e.g. from a fire. Data: direction, see below 2001: Block break. Data: Block ID 2002: Splash potion. Particle effect + glass break sound. Data: Potion ID 2003: Eye of ender. Actual client effect to be determined. 2004: Mob spawn particle effect: smoke + flames Please ignore the numbers, I don't have time to remove them as the list is pasted from some wiki :). I can of course implement them. However, I'm currently on a vacation and i'll be back in a week and I'll immediately start working on that.

Posted May 11, 2012I'm having trouble locating the configuration file, it's not in the /plugins/chimneys folder. the only file in it is "data.bin" Is there a command that has to be performed to prompt creation of the file, or is there a reference config I have to download?

Try moving the data file(data.bin) away from 'Chimneys' directory and see what it does. If it fixes the error, just re-create the chimneys you had and you'll be fine. If not, please create a ticket for that. I'll of course look at it.

Posted Mar 24, 2012Could you add the possibility for smoke in the air (without a block it is coming out), maybe via a command which toggles deletion of the effect on block destruction. The air-smoke should also be able to toggle it's state depending wether the smokes nearby are active or not (means I got a big smoke 'structure', and disable one which still has a block via redstone the rest is disabled, too.
