Posted Jan 22, 2015I grabbed it from github and recompiled it with the latest dependencies so it will work with 1.8
And here it is and it seems to work just fine. http://epick.org/Checkers.jar
How ever if for some reason it does not work on your server. Do come not complaining to me. I am not a programmer, I just work in IT and figure out how to get stuff to work when they break. Thought I would share it as some people struggle compiling software.

Posted Sep 7, 2014Announcement: I have ceased all Bukkit plugin development work, so there will be no new versions or bugfix work done on any of my plugins. Sorry about this, but I no longer believe Bukkit has a future.

Kindly don't post big images on the main page; I asked you to create a ticket. You will get zero assistance if you don't raise a ticket and include all the information I asked for. Also include the list of other plugins you're running.

You're going to need to provide an awful lot more information than that. And put it in a ticket.

Great ! I've just tried "checkers.commands.teleport.board" and it's working smoothly ! By the way, I've done the same thing for quakecraft and I've got the same result.
Thanks again for this quick fix.

Yeah, docs problem there, sorry about that. The correct permission node is checkers.commands.teleport, not checkers.commands.tp. I've updated the Permissions and Commands pages.
Also, regular players don't get to teleport to boards by default, only to games - you need the checkers.commands.teleport.board permission node for that, which only admins have by default. You can add that node to your players if you want to allow them to teleport by board name.

Posted Jan 20, 2014Hello,
Thanks for your last update pluggin update about board size configuration: it seems to work smoothly !
It think I found a problem on the permission node of the /checkers tp" command: only admin can use it (checkers.admin), and it seems there is no configuration node working (e.g checkers.commands.tp)...
I've created the ticked #11 explaining it all.
By the way, the problem seems to be the same for the chess pluggin (this is not really surprising :-) !)
Thanks in advance, Best regards,

Posted Jan 9, 2014Thanks desht! Like I said, don't sweat it if it would take a lot of work. I've squeezed a micro board into my game world lobby, and it looks perfectly fine. And the players are loving it. I don't think many of them realized we had checkers until I placed it in the lobby.
I also want to thank you for making the signs customizable. I changed the wording from 'Create Game' to 'New Game', and 'Delete Game' to 'Cancel Game'. I think the words Create and especially Delete scared people, who thought they would be deleting the board setup, or creating a new one.
One last thing- is it currently possible to place a leaderboard sign? I'm sure the players would like to see their name in lights, so to speak. I know it's difficult to fit player names and scores on one sign, so if you ever add this in the future (I'm assuming it isn't already there), you may want to consider spanning two adjacent signs. Again, not a priority request, as I intend to (eventually) create a web page with the scores from the database.

Glad you're enjoying it :) 1-block frames are an interesting idea - but there would still need to be a 2-block frame on the control panel side of the board (so 8x10 as you said). 0-block frames could be done too, but that would mean no enclosure would be possible for that kind of board.
It's possible, yes - I'll have a think about how easily it can be implemented...
