Other Information

Auto-updater

This plugin has a built-in auto-updater, which connects to BukkitDev to check for updates. If you wish to disable this process, you can do so by setting 'Other.UpdateCheck' to false in the config.yml file.

NoCheatPlus

Cars will act strange with an anti-cheat when it comes to using rails and climb blocks. To fix this, edit your config:

 envelope: 
    active: false

Tutorials

I'm trying to create better documented pages for the plugin, but dev.bukkit is shit and won't let me create my own pages (or change the logo of the project).

since i am a scrub at fixing these things, can someone explain how to edit to change the cost of the vehicle to purchase, and for upgrade in detail please?

No problem. In your server there is a plugins folder, in there will be the Carz folder used to hold its config.yml file. Open this up with a decent text editor and you fill find a section called "Economy", under here you will see there will be a cost for each type of transaction (purchase, upgrade & refuel).

Next to each of these will be a number, change these to whatever numeric value you want, then save the file, go back into the server and enter "/carz reload".

I would create tutorials for the signs but Bukkit is being a pain and the staff aren't helping so I can't create my own pages. But they will follow for example:

Very nice plugin! Pretty impresive that it have got an update after 4 years (good job tbh).
Personal, I have some "problems" with the fuel, that's what I have:

StartAmount: 5000.0
GaugeScale: 40.0

And, on a 52 blocks long street, it consume 5 bars of fuel .. Is this a bug or?

These are my suggestions:
- Save the fuel and upgrade level on a file
- Keep the vehicle's name after break
- Add a permission for vehicle break (so we can stop player's from pickup their cars)

Hi, thanks for your kind words :)

The fuel does run out quite quickly, so you can increase the start amount to whatever you want. I will rework the fuel system in a later version to improve it.

Fuel and Upgrades are stored to the vehicle at the moment using it's unique entity ID, this means that once it's broken that entity seizes to exist any more.

I have fixed keeping the cars name once broken using a command, but essentially if you break the vehicle it no longer exists. I have added the feature to prevent players from breaking an owned car now too.

This will be prevented in next version, if you try to enter an owned vehicle it will prevent the player from getting inside the car.

Hey, could you add the ability to jump a block with space bar? I can't get ramps to work (I've put half slabs of every type and trapdoors underneath and I can't get it to work no matter what I do). I also noticed that the car is riding on top of the grass

How did you mean it? plugin ramps or what ramps?

Hey, so it simply means you can make ramps yourself to drive up. The ramp material is a slab, so the plugin will check if there is a slab below you and slightly elevate you to go up them.

So it's important to remember that at the beginning of the ramp there should be a slab below the player at the bottom, to elevate them onto the ramp if that makes sense.

I will eventually make a tutorial so it's more clear.

Hey everyone, I am recreating this plugin from scratch.

Based around popular requests I will add support for servers that do not use Permissions, as well as add a way of claiming ownership of a car.

It will also be supported for longer as the current latest version of Carz will probably break with newer updates.
