BattleNight
What is BattleNight?
BattleNight is an organized PvP CraftBukkit plugin which makes the normal PvP experience a lot more enjoyable by adding configurable RPG like classes and a arena system. Some of the major features are:
- Easy to set up
- Easy to use
- Build your own Arenas!
- Create your own classes!
- Multiple Battle types (TDM, FFA)
- Permissions (SuperPerms) or Op
- State saving
- Music
- Update checking (Can be disabled in config.yml)
Getting Started
A quickstart guide, command list and more can be found on the BattleNight wiki.
Addons
How does it differ from similar plugins?
I aim to make BattleNight easy to use, easy to set-up and bug free while maintaining a constant addition of features. I spend time reading your comments, suggestions and bug reports to insure that it is best suited the majority of the community and is running seamlessly on your servers.
Donating
I'm a student who spends a lot of time working on BattleNight and BattleNight addons so any donations are greatly appreciated. The donate link is located at the top right of this page.

In the recode (version 2.0.0) there will be multiple arenas and it will be changed into Team Death Match.
Post the reload thing here.

Posted May 4, 2012Hello, Is it possible to create more then ONE Arena? And I also got some suggestions More game modes, Like Free for all, Team Death Match (With Respawns), Capture the Flag.
Can you also add a command where you can RELOAD the plugin in game? Sometimes I make adjustments to classes, and wish to have them applied without restrting my server. Thanks

Alright nice man. Plug-in is great. I managed to set up the classes to kind of act like Team Fortress 2 classes. People enjoy it :D

Yeah, it would be nice if it was possible to colour the names above players heads, but its not possible without SpoutPlugin/Spoutcraft. Hopefully Mojang include it in the official API. In the recode however, I am adding a head block option so players have coloured wool blocks as their helmet.

Okay, umm so here is what it shows when I use "/bn version" ingame:
[BattleNight] This server is currently using Battlenight Version 1.1.3. For more information about Battlenight and the features included in this version, please visit: [Link of this page]
And this is what happens in the server console(if I use "bn version)[strangely if I use the command ingame nothing happens in the console]:
[WARNING] Unexpected exception while parsing console command org.bukkit.command.CommandException: Unhandled exception executing command 'bn' in plugin BattleNight v1.1.3 at org.bukkit.command.PluginCommand.execute(PluginCommand.java:42) at org.bukkit.command.SimpleCommandMap.dispatch(SimpleCommandMap.java:166) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.dispatchCommand(CraftServer.java:473) at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.CraftServer.dispatchServerCommand(CraftServer.java:469) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.b(MinecraftServer.java:596) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.w(MinecraftServer.java:565) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:449) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadServerApplication.run(SourceFile:492) Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException at me.limebyte.battlenight.core.BattleNight.tellPlayer(BattleNight.java:836) at me.limebyte.battlenight.core.BattleNight.onCommand(BattleNight.java:499) at org.bukkit.command.PluginCommand.execute(PluginCommand.java:40) ... 7 more
Just another guess of mine: Maybe it's the Java version? I'm currently using Java 7.

No, you don't need any special plugin. Can you please post the output of the "/bn version" command?

The potion use is blocked in the most recent version and the mob thing can be done with any region protection plugin like Regios or WorldGuard.

Shouldn't do, there is a small bug with MobArena which is listed here but shouldn't stop both of them working. And I have no plans for Hero support but I will look into the plugin.
