NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Updating
This plugin checks for new bukkit release versions which can be disabled in the BattleArena/config.yml

Would make this plugin have a new range, if there would be a option to add a "if" then options like "kills = 10" or "time = 1m" or "damage = 30"
Would be good to see.... but all the same... no problems with the current plugin... Thanks!

Posted Dec 16, 2013BattleGround: On initial spawn player has default "Gladiator" and is able to change classes with signs. After death during respawn - the player is given no default class and is unable to change classes with the sign. In the config file - onspawn i have giveclass: default: gladiator which has always worked in the past for respawning, but now is broke. Were there changes in the configs?

Posted Dec 12, 2013Looking for a way to make sure the teams (like with Capture the Flag) are even.
I set nTeams to 2 (because it is Red vs Blue).
I would like team sizes to be from 1-4 (or higher) but we keep getting matches where the teams are 1v2 (really bad), 2v3 or 3v4 and it would be nice if it could be 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, with 1+.
I don't know if it is possible to add a check to where it doesn't que the match unless the number of players que'd can be divided evenly against the number of teams or something?
Either way, this is an amazing plugin that everyone on the server loves!

Hello All, Despite recent rumors I'm not dead or being held hostage in Antarctica by nefarious penguins. I've been updating small dev versions but just haven't released one to bukkit in too long. This is now rectified!
I've just released an update to BattleArena today and will be back to releasing improvements/fixes again.
The previous versions should work with all bukkit versions, but this most recent release (3.9.5) has many fixes for some annoying things (like respawnWithClass).

Posted Dec 7, 20133 names are appearing for each 1 person who joins the arena. I am using version BattleArena_v3.9.4.7.1. Will the newest version fix this? Edit: It's actually doing it with the latest version. For some reason, people can do /arena j as many times as they want. Thus, resulting in them joining many times.
