Backpacks
Backpacks
What is it?
Backpacks is a plugin that provides each player with a backpack in which they can store items. You can configure how much space each player's backpack has, as well as other aspects of the backpack, using permissions (see below). I have recently added SQL support that enables the backpacks to work cross-server if you use servers linked by bungeecord, lilypad etc. A recent addition to the plugin is that if a player with a backpack has a full inventory and they pickup an item, it goes into their backpack.
Permissions
backpack.1 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x1
backpack.2 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x2
backpack.3 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x3
backpack.4 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x4
backpack.5 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x5
backpack.6 Sets the backpack to the size: 9x6
backpack.keepOnDeath Allows players to bypass the config value for dropping items on death.
Commands
User Commands
/backpack Opens the backpack you have permission for!
Admin (OP) Commands
/backpack [Player name] Opens a player's backpack.
Configuration
Drop-On-Death
If this is set to true the content of the players backpack will drop on death. If the player had the permission 'backpack.keepOnDeath', this would not affect them.
Title
This is the title on the top of each backpack. On the example backpack it is "Your Backpack". You can set a title for each size of backpack (1 to 6).
DisabledWorlds
Here you can define the worlds in which players cannot open their backpacks incase you have, for example, a creative world.

Posted Feb 19, 2013Well the login/logout thing is impossible from what ive seen so far, But Ive made it so whenever you put an item into the pack it now saves it.

I assume you load the data from the file when backpacks opened, and save when its closed. So if one leaves without closing it makes it dupe items. This would make items disappear if one would put something in and not close the pack. I tested both possibilities and it is just like that.
I could suggest storing the contents in memory and only save and load upon player login and logout. Or you could also save to the file each time theres a change without relying on the pack to be closed. So i think its fixable :)

Posted Feb 18, 2013Just Saying: This plugin has a dupe glitch, i don't advise you to use this until they fix it.
The bug is, Store your goods, close the backpack, open the backpack again, store the goods on your inventory and instead of closing the backpack close the game, back to the game, open backpack TADA! you have the items on both inventory and backpack.

Posted Feb 15, 2013Just wanted to let you know, im using PEX and its working just fine. In fact haven't encountered any problems with the plugin yet. Yes id like to have the enchant support but i assume the guys are working to get it out.
Also auto pickup when inventory is full would be nice, I wonder if it can be tied to a key to open it? Oh at least an alias for /backpack command would be nice, something like /bp would be good, or /pack :D
Nice plugin, thanks for your hard work.

I don't need all that crap ;). Blacklists will be easy anyways if people wanted it. Also if it were to save the backpack data as NBT data then admins wont be able to edit others backpacks. So there you go ;)

LOL, I find #2 hilarious. Hows that Metadata / NBT data storage thing working out for you, oh thats right, yours doesn't have that ability...
Yours doesn't have overflow abilities, doesn't have doesn't have blacklists, doesn't have MetaData/NBT data (which means it destroys items), doesn't have multi-world specific sharing, how does ours suck again?

I chose this one over yours purely because of the fact that you don't have to use the upgrade command, so it's easy to just give a certain size backpack to certain groups. Yours has different features, like the overflow thing, this doesn't. They're different plugins, for different purposes.
